hey, you can call me a dumb shit all you want.
still wont change my view.
arguing YOUR view might tho.
I watched the second movie and fury road, I loved them, so this is great news..
I also read some rant about feminism bullshit in the movie the night before I went to the theater, I got a pleasant surprise when watching the movie and realising there was no feminist propaganda.
Well good deal for more Mad Max sequels.
[SP] i wonder if there would actually be Mutants due to the Nuclear Fallout[/SP]
I sure hope not

Well, there was a two-headed lizard, mutants aren't out of the question.

I think it would take away from series if they started that, at least for human mutants. Besides, two headed lizards are a thing that actually does happen on occasion.
There were "mutations" in the literal sense - rampant cancers and other deformations, implied to be related to fallout. But if you want ghouls or some shit you need to play Fallout.

[SP] Though, watching the scenes with the "things" on stilts and the girls seeing the satellite in the sky. I wonder if they might explain if there is actually remnants of civilizations scattered across the world, maybe some cities might still be intact, or some military faction might still exist as well, Considering Immortan Joe was actually a colonel. Though about the "things" and the deformed sons of Immortan Joe, i wonder if there would actually be Mutants due to the Nuclear Fallout[/SP]
i'm so glad someone else noticed the swamp stilt guys
that was some freaky shit
I hope the next film is slower paced and more about exploration and worldbuilding. I want to see wasteland culture up close, and I want to see Gastown.
same
fury road was fucking brilliant, but there were so many tiny details that i want to see more of, and i wanna learn more about the world

They weren't mutants, they were using stilts to [sp]not touch the water as it was toxic, to further the Many Mothers' comments later[/sp]
I watched the standard version of the film, did I miss out on not seeing it in 3d?

oh yeah, i know
just the way they looked and the gloomy atmosphere and the slightly unnatural crow caws wigged me out a little

Sir can I call you a dickhead?

you sure can, but I wont take you seriously afterwards.
I might even respond with similar profanities.

My brother got freeked out by that, didn't really phase me, what I wanted a little explaining was max's flashbacks throughout the movie, I hadn't seen mad max in a long time but I didn't think they'd do a flashback that far, though this movie could be chronologically between mad max and road warrior for all we know because he's a noticeably younger max and things are still much more plentyful in the wasteland than they were in the earlier films, but this is all my conjecture

the flashbacks are max's child and wife that he couldn't save back in the original mad max, interspersed with other random people that it's implied he couldn't save. except his kid's a girl now for some reason

The theory about the gender-swap is that since his child was just a baby when he/she died, but is a child in this one, Max has 101% lost it and has just started making up his history.
I sure hope not
I don't think they will go with the crazy fallout route, like the ghouls or super mutants, if mutants actually show up in the story, it will probably be just deformed people, people with extra parts, or animals that are abnormally huge or deformed. Since i can tell that George Miller still wants to keep a realistic version of the story.

i read somewhere about a theory that the little girl is a subconscious mix between his wife and his baby son or some shit
i read somewhere about a theory that the little girl is a subconscious mix between his wife and his baby son or some shit
yeah i can see that, its definitely referring back to that instance of him not being able to save them.

Guess you could say he's gone mad
and she [sp] survives, for some stupid reason. [/sp]
Um
The Organic Mechanic says [sp]"she's breathed her last"[/sp] in the night-time scene
I paid to see this movie. Do your part and do the same, don't be like my friends who think they'll have the same amount of fun watching a bluray rip.
Well I saw it at a theatre and I think I'd prefer watching it at home. Though this is mostly because I didn't have the option to watch it in 2d at the theatre and I thought the 3d was balls. Just made everything look out of focus and seemed like a lower frame rate to me. It was very odd. I took the 3d glasses off and put them back on halfway through one of the action scenes and it seemed to flow much smoother without them. I'm starting to think there's something wrong with my eyes when nobody else with me ever notices how shit 3D movies actually look.
So I have a question. If there is a gas crisis, why are they using vehicles that get maybe .5 miles to the gallon.
And how the hell do they drive so long without a fill-up?
Haven't seen the first 3, but I'm for sure going to after seeing this one.
I was going to say that it's because V8's are more sturdy than inlines? :v:

Do you dare not worship the V8?
It was non stop insanity from the got go and it was fantastic. I still can't get over just how awesome [sp] the sandstorm tornado was at the start [/sp].
It was also a touch of genius to have the music exist in the film world [sp] guitar guy with the drummers on that music mobile was fantastic[/sp].

gas town is an oil refinery/gas production facility that's part of an alliance with the citadel, which provides water in exchange for gas

And milk, apparently. The tanker was loaded with it, and they were going to gastown.

who gives a damn
the cars are badass dont complain about fuel consumption
There's, like, only ONE, ONE little thing I hated in Road Fury.
The fact that the Black V8 Ford Falcon doesn't get any more screen time. It's a nice nod and all, but, really, it needs some more love.
It has been a loooong while since I was so hooked and entertained with an action scene.
This movie is clearly a 9/10 if you are too exquisite, and 10/10 for anyone else.
Everything was great: Max behaved very logically in a sense of protecting his ass all the time -the way he moves inside the War Truck-, how the different people from each tribe/place were dressed or equipped differently, all the symbols and pictures used in that world, the dialogue, the ideology of the Immortans. The photography, the colours, eveeerrrryyyythiiinggg.

There's a reason the War Rig is "2000 horsepower of nitro-boosted war machine"
