Trump told not everyone on welfare is black. "Really? Then what are they?"

As sad as it is, news like this no longer surprises me. I think the only way trump could subvert my expectations now would be to actually do something benificial or progressive.
Actually, come to think of it... Has trump actually made and positive changes since taking power? And by "positive" I mean anything that benifits the vast majority of the U.S population in some form, be it economic, ecological or socialogical?
I know he's made great strides in terms of actively harming the wellbeing of the country he's supposed to be leading, but has he actually done anything positive at all?
Caveat: "He hasn't caused a thermonuclear war yet." And other such answers don't count. I want to know if hes actively done anything good.
He did some small things here or there, but they were largely washed away in the deluge of sewage.

Well he did give a massive tax cut to the entire country.

Ignoring, y'know, that the tax cut will increase the US deficit, that the poor and middle class Americans will suffer in the long-term, and that really only the 1% will gain any real benefit from it.
But it's still a positive tax cut!

Who needs taxes when you can run the government on student loans?

Cut the TPP, though I'd give some credit for that decision to progressive groups who were petitioning against it beforehand.
Most people agree Mattis makes a great Secretary of Defense, but I guess that's not "economic, ecological, or socialogical".
Other than those two I got nothin without wading into opinion territory.

The last time I praised Trump for something was the Carrier deal and, well, :v:

You mean the thing he had literally no hand in doing since Pence was still the governor of Indiana at the time, which had no enforcement mechanisms, and Carrier pretty much took the tax money with full intention to continue laying off everyone?
That was the first of many such times when Wallstreet came out swinging for Trump's stupid base. Like the coordinated "1000$* instant tax rebate bonus!" that seemingly everybody is announcing
Poor?

Well, he did make a phone call to personally appeal to Carrier. What Carrier then did shows about how much value there is in the President doing that.

You aren't giving him enough credit. Sometimes he shakes it up. Sometimes he's the best x you will ever meet.

If that were true, he would not have even won the Primary.

I think it was also because there were so many of them there, and they all focused on each other.

There's a simple reason for that.

The default mental state of a narcissist is "I'm the best! (........right?)" and what you see is the first part shouted to quiet the constant lurking doubt of the second from being acknowledged.
How about, they're human beings? Some of them have no other recourse than to depend on these assistance programs, some of them don't even get that much off of it.
