I kinda wanna get Quake 3 now.
It's all a marketing ploy
For those who don't believe that a server can operate for years without going down: [img_thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64443729/FP/intel-server-uptime.jpg[/img_thumb] Some of you probably remember that server.
I kinda wanna get Quake 3 now.
QuakeLive is free
Sounds like a rip-off or a cache in of Civ II's Endless War guy who played Civ for 14 years straight.
QuakeLive is free
i stopped playing after only premiums could start votes, and i think everyone else did too
i stopped playing after only premiums could start votes, and i think everyone else did too
I stopped playing the game after they started really trying to encourage you to buy premium. In retrospect, I made the right decision.
Bots don't forget everything when the server goes off, it could have been turned off for weeks or months and it would boot right back up with the bots memories intact. [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] Though there's a really easy way to tell if this is true, just run a quake server and find a way to speed up the timescale. If someone told me how to, I could run it overnight on my desktop and see what happens.
/devmap <mapname> /sv_cheats 1 /timescale 60
[t]http://i.imgur.com/EQzFC85.png[/t] It feels as if they can't react to the sped up timescale
Sounds like a rip-off or a cache in of Civ II's Endless War guy who played Civ for 14 years straight.
This isn't real, it's just a pasta.
You should, it's one of the best multiplayer games of all time.
whenever I tried playing it there was no servers, or maybe one with like 400 ping.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/EQzFC85.png[/t] It feels as if they can't react to the sped up timescale
That's because you are percieving the sped up time the same as they are. They would eventually adapt to it, I bet we could learn a thing or two from that. The only way I see that we could accurately re-create the situation is either wait four years, or find some way to actually make the entire program run faster.
Cheat Engine?

Bots that can learn from human players? How come there isn't more of this in the video game industry? Between this and L4D's director, there hasn't really been anything revolutionary in terms of video game AI.

So I tried using cheat engine instead and it gave me fantastic results What interesting is that there were two bots of the same level and after a short while one bot was straight up dominating the other one It crashed shortly after but I'll try it again [t]http://i.imgur.com/J6nLj2o.png[/t]
