Reddit is circlejerking central.
Even worse than FP or 4chan.
What if they start porting SMT games? Since now they own Atlus and all.
Persona 5 on PC, can't even imagine it.
Or porting some of the older games.
I wouldn't mind a Steam release for Persona 3. Granted, it's not all that likely to happen but a man can dream.
already at 2000
I think you missed the memo, the people who were responsible for all those games at Monolith are gone now. It's pretty much a completely new team working on the LOTR and batman stuff.
A few oldschool monolith devs formed an indie studio together and are making that black and white FPS "Betrayer" which is in early access on steam right now. I don't know how good the game is though but they are returning to their horror fps roots it seems.
Well that explains a few things, I wasn't aware of this. Thought they just up and stopped for no reason
Port the Yakuza games, localize Yakuza 5.

why would the mods even want to do that?

The guys on GAF are guessing it's their way of revenge for when people from GAF caught Reddit moderators of trying to cover up the whole Twitch-Horror Furry Porn incident, by trying to sabotage GAF's attempt at a petition.
Also Virtua Fighter 5 arcade was running on windows based pc
To bring this section to a close, we have Sega's latest two arcade hardwares, the Sega Ringedge, and the Sega Ringwide. The Ringedge, released in 2009, runs on a Pentium E2160 at 1.8GHz, has 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and has a 384MB nVidia graphics card (unspecified). It runs Windows Embedded Standard 2009, and supported the following games, to name a few: Border Break, Initial D Arcade Stage 6AA, Project Diva Arcade, and Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. This hardware is very underpowered for its age, and the CPU alone was released 3 years before the hardware itself. The Ringwide is even more watered down, released in 2010, it ran a Celeron 440 at 2GHz, has 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and has a 128MB nVidia graphics card (unspecified). It also ran Windows Embedded Standard 2009, and supported few decent games, the only one which I feel is even mentionable is Tetris the Grandmaster 4.
I always thought it was odd that they never put titles already ported to PC on Steam for some quick cash.
They had a European PC release of Billy Hatcher that apparently they just forgot about. They also promised a third round of Dreamcast ports a while back with Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue, then that kinda vanished. I know I'd love all of them.

Oh my god I cannot agree more, the Yakuza games are some of my favorite games.
I would shit for Bayonetta on PC. Playing that masterpiece at high fps, with whatever controller I wanted, with AA, at an actually acceptable 1080p? Yes please. They wouldn't even have to add any content, just scale up the game, make sure it isn't locked to 30fps like a shitty console port, make sure it can at least go to 1080p, and add some AA, and I would pay lots of human currency for it.
already at 4000+ votes
Nearing 5000.
We're going to need to get a bit more media coverage beyond just Kotaku though if we plan on pulling this off in the long run. Not everyone who cares goes on GAF or Kotaku.
I'd like to see them port their arcade titles, such as Dynamite Dux, Outrun, Sega Rally, Power Drift, Hang-On, Thunder Blade and more to PC. There are very few direct arcade ports that come from Sega, which is a shame really because they're up there with Namco, Capcom, SNK, Atari and Konami for me when it comes to great arcade titles. I'd even rebuy several of the games I have for my Genesis (such as Golden Axe) if they gave out the arcade version instead. Some 32X and Saturn love would be nice too. *cough*Knuckles Chaotix and Panzer Dragoon*cough*
(For Daytona USA though I'd prefer the Dreamcast version since that expanded heavily on the arcade original)

Man, this might actually go somewhere if it could get the 15k votes still required.
I think they should port Daytona USA 2 instead of the first one, or both.
Because it's possible to race 16 players in one track altogether in DU2.
