NV would've been so much better if they added continuation after completion.
Considering that New Vegas still had a lot more content even with the 18 months of development time chopped off along with a well-written (and generally better) story, I'd be thrilled if they did.
Holy shit I wasn't aware of the 18 months of development time being chopped off, they are now forgiven for everything and can make FO4.

Fallout 3 was the first game in a new series, really. They had to make almost everything from scratch and had nothing they could build upon other than story. Obviously the next game in the series (New vegas) would be an improvement, especially when quite a few of the things they used were already done for them.

I just looked it up and I appear to be mistaken on the specifics. The game was made in 18 months and although I recall Bethesda cutting development time I don't have a source on that. However, with only 18 months from start to finish Obsidian had to budget their time wisely and ended up with a LOT of cut content. If they had the proper time and resources I'm confident they could have done a much better job with New Vegas, and could do a much better job with the next game.
I'm pretty sure beth doesn't announce games they're developing at E3, almost ever.
They've announced things they're publishingat E3, but i think thier in house games are normally announced at other cons.
They need the extra time to program in the diagonal running animations.
It's a long, delicate process.

Damn straight. Applause to Obsidian. I'm sorry I ever doubted you guys.

That's true, but I still feel as if Obsidian did better with what they had than Bethesda did.
Please give me a break.
The whole Half-Life thing has literally given me the ability to contain any and all hype and to keep me patient.
Until the release date is announced.
If it doesn't run on Gamebyro it isn't a fallout game.
It's not fallout without the bugs, glitches and crashing.
But but my phoenix engine.
At this point, I won't be surprised if Half-Life 3 turns out shitty and/or underwhelming.
Keeping it under wraps now is just kind of pointless.

When ever half life gets released, I don't think I will care that much nor be excited. Mainly due to the fact of valve taking so long to release HL.

Half Life is getting a sequel?
I feel the exact opposite way.
How about a compromise? Bethesda make main game and Obsidian make DLC?
How about a compromise? Bethesda make main game and Obsidian make DLC?
Obsidian do the story and characters, Bethesda do the environments.

Or, Obsidian do Fallouts, so that Bethesda could focus on TES games (and maybe get MK back on the payroll proper again)
it's not a fallout game if it's based on fallout 3 you mean
Bethesda treated the IP far, far, FAR far better than interplay did towards the end.
if nothing else bethesda should be kept as far as possible from designing/modeling characters

Have you played the new TES game?
Obsidian do the story and characters, Bethesda do the environments.
I guess that's a better way of looking at it. I hated the New Vegas environment. All those invisible walls, mountains, and cazadores that artificially limited where I could explore. I like the Capital Wasteland because it was basically a big field where you spawned at the center and could go explore any location in any direction.

ESO was developed by Zenimax, not bethesda
Skyrim? Yes, I have.
ESO? No, I've not, but then again Bethesda doesn't have anything to do with it besides publishing it because their parent company developed it.
God damn it, I always joke around and everyone thinks I'm serious but this ONE time I ask a question seriously only for you guys to think I'm joking.
I just wanted to hear your opinion on TESO

didnt seem like that given the context, but teso is awful
refer to this video as to why

for once i'm glad i don't have a computer that could play this or hl3, because it means that i don't have to give half a shit about either one.

Shrug, some of the lore seems quite interesting though it's still non-canon for me, at least for me.
I do hope Obsidian'll have some more time with the game if they are doing it than they had with NV.

As supposed to giving you that ability figuratively?
I really hope Obsidian is on the team, because from the simplification of their games I'm kind of fearful for how a Bethesda-only Fallout 4 will turn. Unless they really take a look at what New Vegas did better than Fallout 3 I honestly don't know if I would buy it if it's a simplified game with tons of essential NPCs on the Creation Engine.
