Oh no not an emotional reaction to a horrendous crime
You do realize that poor emotional reactions is what gets most people to seek help, either willingly or through orders?
This thread is full of extremely crazy people. Yes this was terrible but if we advocate extreme violence then we are no better than they.
It's all hyperbole, man. It's okay.

I think you're adressing the wrong poster then

He trivializes what Silentfood said, how's he the wrong poster?
Chemical castration is the only suitable punishment for these kinds of people.
(Not really, life in a hellhole prison should suffice)
i don't know what's worse, the rape or what you're wishing upon them
i don't know what's worse, the rape or what you're wishing upon them
The rape is much worse.
What's wrong with revenge, it feels good and helps you move on. The only reason people tend to avoid revenge is because everyone was coddled into believing that revenge entails more revenge in a never ending cycle. That argument has too many theoretical flaws, since there are only so many connections an individual has, this is notwithstanding whether or not the person committing their revenge can be singled out and caught. We can see in many points in perpetrators of horrendous acts preaching forgiveness, it's repeatedly done in order to lower the possibility of revenge killings. A famous example could be the crusaders, where crusaders had murdered, pillaged, and raped the people in their region, preaching their beliefs of forgiveness while committing horrible human atrocities against other people. It's naive to think an eye for an eye makes everyone blind, thinking people should not fight and let these horrible events happen to other people. The people that had committed this act on this young girl should be punished in the by placing them in the same facilities as other rapist for the maximum alottable time, at least then, they're with their own kind. Sad to see that the majority of these animals will escape freely, and that Brazil will heavily suppress this news until it's forgotten several months later. No one to capture and take down these gun touting thugs.

A week ago, there was a fella on FP advocating the use of rape in prison on convicted rapists.

fighting fire with fire or something to that effect. it works, but it burns the whole world down.

Apparently, if you don't advocate it you're some kind of person who
sniff(s) their own farts and claim(s) moral superiority.
Nah, it's just that when we get nasty enough news about criminals, then Americans will flock out and express pride over their prison system which they would normally criticize.
Goes to show how fucked the human mind can be.
It's terrifying knowing that, under the right conditions, anyone could be convinced to think this way. Including you, even if you think you'd know better.
These are the type of things that give me my cynical outlook on society.
This wasn't one or two bad seeds. This was thirty three sick motherfuckers taking part. The fact that so many personifications of scum can exist in the same place at the same time is sickening.
They're all fucked individuals, but I personally believe the true horror lies in the fuckers who started it. They are the ones fucked beyond repair. With no exception though, they're all fucked and ill.
I mean there's that thing where torturers restrain someone to a wall and have bamboo grow into them. Some bamboo can grow like 3 ft in a single day and I think I recall that being a torture method where they'd make it shoot slowly straight through someone.
Okay?
Ultimately, it only comes down to what kind of a fucked up society we want to live in. It's our decision, minus the bureaucracy and decision-making done by higher authorities and so on, or whatever the government structure would be.
I don't see why we shouldn't burn or impale people, if we really choose to see and actively place value in deliberately painful execution methods. If we voted that, then that's that.
If it was wholly up to me to decide, I'd go down a way different road, but personally I can't really find any argument as to why a "Society A with insane punishments" is somehow worse/better than "Society B without" because both societies will eventually amount to nothing. Or is this open-mindedness gone too far?
Apprently the lawyer of the girl forced the police to swap judges: the former one was accused of being misogynist and chauvinist because he asked if the girl had the habit of having sex in group, and in an informal chat with someone else he was convinced that there was no rape.
The new judge is a woman and she stated that there was indeed rape, but she doesn't know how many people raped the girl. Even though some exams revealed that there was no physical violence.
I'm not blaming the girl for what happened, but from the statement of her lawyer it seems like the girl had the conscience that she was going to have sex with a bunch of guys, and her lawyer seems like she defends bigger rights for women (wanting women to have a bunch of rights that men do not have).
People around me saw the video and all they could deduce was:
- girl was naked and unconscious
- no one raped her in the video
I also think that the girl had the conscience of what she did. There are some audios circulating around that clearly say that the girl was already known for doing similar things, and that she even had relationships with these guys. What this means is, she could have wanted to have sex with the supposed 33, but reported it as rape because the video went online.
I repeat, I'm not blaming the girl for what happened to her. All I did was point out another side of the history that could be what happened.
EDIT: no matter what her 'rapists' are jerks and shouldn't have recorded the video in the first place.
That would be fucked up because if she did that, she will be known as 'that whore' forever.
She's 16 so even if it wasn't rape, they should still get busted for possession and distribution of cp.
