Besides, he actually did have a weapon, and what kind of person arms themselves when the police come?
people who fear for their lives? lol
They're trained to fight for their lives, they aren't supposed to check to see if it's actually a gun and if it actually has bullets and the if shooter is actually willing to shoot. Besides, he actually did have a weapon, and what kind of person arms themselves when the police come anyway? It didn't look like he was putting the golf club down.
Im not going to say I know a lot about police but I watched a melee weapons video and you arnt supposed to shoot until you know the person has a deadly weapon and is going after you. first it wasnt a deadly weapon.

[editline]29th December 2010[/editline] Except that's not what I was arguing in the first place, drugs do hurt people other than the user, which is the point I am making.
Drugs used recklessly are harmful to other people, including alcohol, whether it's being heavily under the influence and disorderly in a public place, or operating dangerous machinery/equipment or driving while under the influence. So you criminalize that aspect of it, not the drugs themselves.
Anything can be a deadly weapon, a golf club can easily be classified as a weapon.
yea but he wasnt going after him and thats the big part.
people who fear for their lives? lol
He still got a weapon, he had AT LEAST 5 seconds to react, depending on when he noticed them, and in that 5 seconds he grabbed a weapon. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline]
yea but he wasnt going after him and thats the big part.
How do you know? He was shot before anything happened, how do you know he wasn't going to charge?
He still got a weapon, he had AT LEAST 5 seconds to react, depending on when he noticed them, and in that 5 seconds he grabbed a weapon.
yes which is a natural reaction when people break into your home and point guns at you
yes which is a natural reaction when people break into your home and point guns at you
Except he heard "POLICE SEARCH WARRANT." he obviously knew the police were breaking in, not some petty thugs
He still got a weapon, he had AT LEAST 5 seconds to react, depending on when he noticed them, and in that 5 seconds he grabbed a weapon.
was he running and screaming at him? even if he did he would have a second before he got to him.
Except he heard POLICE SEARCH WARRANT, he obviously knew the police were breaking in, not some petty thugs
yes I'm sure he knew that without a shadow of a doubt and wasn't suddenly awakened by the noise and tried to defend himself
yes which is a natural reaction when people break into your home and point guns at you
If your first reaction to a dozen men with guns breaking down your door is to pick up a golf club, I'm going to say you've watched way too many movies. Nevermind they were announcing their presence as the police.
was he running and screaming at him? even if he did he would have a second before he got to him.
The point is they're trained to fend for themselves, not see what happens and re-act accordingly. I obviously do not agree with the outcome, but can you honestly blame the police for reacting this way?
The point is they're trained to fend for themselves, not see what happens and re-act accordingly. I obviously do not agree with the outcome, but can you honestly blame the police for reacting this way?
Yes because he wasnt running or attacking them.

Nevermind they were announcing their presence as the police.
what the fuck obviously he grabbed the nearest weapon, he didn't go straight for the golf club
yes because he wasnt running or attacking them.
because it may have been a gun, have you not glanced at this thread we've covered this like 400 times [editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
what the fuck obviously he grabbed the nearest weapon, he didn't go straight for the golf club
Why would you arm yourself and then rush to meet people with guns. If they were robbers he would have been shot anyway.
what the fuck obviously he grabbed the nearest weapon, he didn't go straight for the golf club
If the nearest weapon is nail clippers when the police break in, do you grab those and charge?
because it may have been a gun, have you not glanced at this thread we've covered this like 400 times
spending a nanosecond to realize that a gun isnt shaped that way could have saved a life. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline]
If the nearest weapon is nail clippers when the police break in, do you grab those and charge?
he didnt charge
he didnt charge
He ran out of the room he was in, which could be seen as charging depending on how you define the word. But this is a bad argument anyway.
spending a nanosecond to realize that a gun isnt shaped that way could have saved a life.
And getting into that habit will kill you 5 times over within the week if your job is busting into drug dealers houses.
If the nearest weapon is nail clippers when the police break in, do you grab those and charge?
nailclippers aren't a weapon you dult
He ran out of the room he was in, which could be seen as charging depending on how you define the word.
well he had a melee weapon. I could see if he started running to him but he didnt. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline]
And getting into that habit will kill you 5 times over within the week if your job is busting into drug dealers houses.
so anyone who is holding anything should be shot? do you know how many people would be dead if other cops did that?
nailclippers aren't a weapon you dult
The joke. Sea level. Your head.
so anyone who is holding anything should be shot? do you know how many people would be dead if other cops did that?
Anyone who is holding something aggressively in the middle of a drug raid. Yes.
The joke. Sea level.. Your head. Anyone who is holding something aggressively in the middle of a drug raid. Yes.
he wasnt charging to them or anything.
nailclippers aren't a weapon you dult
lol
The joke. Sea level. Your head.
who the fuck cares about your stupid joke we're not doing stand-up comedy
well he had a melee weapon. I could see if he started running to him but he didnt.
He still had a weapon so they had a reason to shoot. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline]
who the fuck cares about your stupid joke we're not doing stand-up comedy
I was just trying to name a ridiculous household object, technically anything can be a weapon.
He still had a weapon so they had a reason to shoot.
no not really
he wasnt charging to them or anything.
They thought it was a gun. They couldn't waste time double checking without possibly being shot. I've explained this at least a dozen times.
who the fuck cares about your stupid joke we're not doing stand-up comedy
It wasn't mine, and I'm sorry he didn't accommodate for those with a room temperature IQ, I'm sure he'll put in a knock knock joke just for your sake next time.
