Did these idiots even think what they can even expand on with CSS? If anyone starts saying "oh tactics / ability to look around walls", it's those features that are missing that make up CSS. The entire point of it is to just run around, shoot a few people and rescue a few hostages. It's basic, but that's what makes the game great for most people. All I can see that would be beneficial is an engine upgrade, but by doing that you would cut out everyone that can't play OB / L4D Games.

Yeah Wolf3d was the best FPS ever, we never needed anything else, stop the developement for gods sake that is ruining the scene!

Weapons like the AWP need rebalancing and the fucking hitboxes need adjusting.

If they make a new one, people will complain. If they don't, people will complain. If they just update Source, people will complain. They can't win to be honest, in my opinion if anything, all it needs is a few new maps, maybe a couple of new weapons..although probably won't stop people using M4 or AK though. It's fine as it is.

It won't be fun having to press the "Reach into pocket" button, then select "Ammo Clip (Or magazine, whatever), Primary", then press the key binded to "Reload" and go make a sandwich while your character keeps dropping the thing in the mud while being shot in the back, going blind. OR you could just stick to Source, which has a good balance of looks fine / doesn't lag at all on newer hardware. It's called Upgrade. Stopping a simple engine upgrade because of people who can't afford a better PC is not the developers problem. There is no reason they should not upgrade the engine. I feel they can't honestly add anything more to the game but a new engine upgrade would be nice.

I don't get what you can possibly add to the existing CS:S and CS 1.6. The maps are already taken care of by the community, and the weapons are already pretty "balanced" (I bet you that the addition of a single pistol will cause rage throughout the community for "imbalance"). If you were to go and rewrite the whole game with completely different gameplay, well...it just wouldn't be Counterstrike anymore now would it? A new Counterstrike would really mean just updating the game to the newer engine with better fire effects, or new little bits of details here and there. But then again, who really cares about all that stuff when playing Counterstrike?

I love Counter Strike Source and would love to see what valve can come up with as Counter Strike Source came out in 2004

Why not L4D2 Engine, add proper bots, incap and two teams of 4 and you're basically go a semi-tactical teamgame.

I facepalmed the second I came across the word 'Petition'. However, if CS:S 2 does ever get made, it needs some sort of feature that can allow the computer to punch anyone under the age of 17 in the balls if they attempt to play it. Actually, all online games need this.
