I get the feeling this is going to be pretty badand they're going to mess the character up way a lot
I never did like WW anyways though, it's fucking conflictingly ironic that what should be a strong, noble, powerful, smart icon of what a woman should be was only a character that was actually really damn sexist. IT just makes for a crap character. DC seems to do this way more than Marvel does, and it really gets obnoxious as hell. Shame they aren't trying to do with their characters what was done with the Avengers. And, despite JLU's occasional funny up writing (Superman using an anvil to create suns to feed his suneater squid, lex luther is the smartest guy in the world but look at how he got his cancer like oh my god what a retard how could you not have figured out RADIOACTIVE crystals would give you CANCER, this is elementary school shit dude), it was an amazing show and really deserved every once of love and more.
The only character that truly feels right is Batman with DC. The flash is nice too though.

Siegel drew bondage porn after his creation got sold off for 130 dollars and had trouble finding work after. Same thing happened with Curt Swan, Superman's primary artist throughout the Silver and Bronze ages that got kicked off after Crisis. They didn't do it at the same time.

DC does what more than what Marvel does?
Nearly all of the JLU's 'occasional funny up writing' is pretty much Silver Age/Bronze Age inspired stuff. But DC doesn't want you to remember those times though. The days where Superman carried Batman off the Earth and when everyone thought the world's finest abandoned them.

The case there was the derision was from how people couldn't understand how a comedian could be batman, not realizing as it is generally accepted now, that comedians generally also make good dramatic actors. See: robin williams, denis leary, eddie murphy, etc.
Here, you've got a girl who the reason for being chosen was presumably because Snyder is a big manchild and he thought she looked hot in fast and furious. I'm not going to join in on the tumblr hate parade because a skinny girl was chosen, because female jealousy is rife on that shit, but I will say she doesn't really have an amazonian quality. Jaime Alexander isn't much taller, but she can at least pull off something of a commanding presence and she has much sharper features giving her a more authoritative look. This chick is the girl next door.
