Yeah this. And I realize that the U.S. government isn't all rainbows and ponies and Bush saved a cat from a tree everyday, but I doubt that the president would let 3,000 people be killed off.

I'm sure that the president had barely any involvement with 9/11, but I doubt he was ignorant about it happening. I'm sure he have gotten warnings or been told somethings up.

Nothing new for Russia. Except now they've messed with another country, in the worst way possible. If there's fruit behind this claim, Russia needs to be punished.

The gunshots etc. can be explained by the Russian's being heavy handed with everything; what's the best way to stop people from looting / other stuff at a crash site? Fire shots into the air. It's just one of those things that is either a horrible series of unforeseen events, or the FSB is up to their old tricks again.

That would be very difficult. Let's just assume for a moment his beef is with Poland and Poland only. If you look at it in that light and the convenience of everything that happened (a chance to replace several heads of state with someone more agreeable to Putin's views) then one can see that it isn't so far fetched.
Of course, if you suggest someone had an ulterior motive for sneezing, you're a conspiracy theorist, so I recant everything I just said so I won't hurt Facepunch's conscience.
