Because I BLAME OBAMA.
Wow, that's such a valid reason. :v:
I'm astounded at the number of idiots here. The US government has all the right in the world to take down sites condoning illegal activity.
I cannot believe I'm reading from people in here that what THEY'RE doing is illegal.
Seriously? Grow up. Oh no laws are being enforced, the Internet is no longer a safe haven for criminals.
TPB Will probobly be next on the list

You understand what this means right? If the government can now turn off any site they dont want.
This takes out the freedom on the internet something that made the internet so great and its then going to start taking out sites they call terrorist sites or something like that and its just going to gfet worse.
has anyone ever wondered how rioters function? Such a large amount of people all breaking the law at once creates a difficulty to restrain/prevent the continuation of these crimes by these people.
Not that I'm telling you to all systematically download things for free that you could easily spend money and get an identical product, but just have that warm sparkly feeling inside that you actually bought it.

Yeah. Because sitting at a screen, minding ones' own business really causes victims.
I dislike my country more and more everytime they do something.

Yes, but not all torrents are illegal.
I just think it's awful, I can understand fining people maybe $200 for breaking copyright or whatever, but bankrupting people and throwing them in jail for years? That's just fucked up and pointless, no matter what side you're on for piracy being right or wrong, we all have to agree that the sentencing is ungodly and unfair.
Hey guys even though this isn't illegal where the domain is being hosted we should totally shut them down for breaking OUR laws!
All of your avatars are copyrighted images and Facepunch will now be black listed.
Remember this does not have to be true, I just have to accuse you.
All of your avatars are copyrighted images and Facepunch will now be black listed, quick what is the IP address?
Mine isn't. It's the Holy Toaster.

Maybe the thing we're complaining about here is the new power to take down any website it wants without due process that your government is giving itself.
Maybe
sometimes i hate my country

And maybe my post had nothing to do with that and you're just saying that to get an argument out of me

It's funny that you would accuse someone of that.

I quoted the wrong post of yours, I meant to quote the one at the top of the page. Fixed it.
That post was being sarcastic, I think I should have quoted one of the posts that detailed the amount of money you can get fined to make that easier
