• Hershey's attempts to block the sale of Cadbury in New York - but here's why Cadbury tastes so much
Same with asda. I tried Hersheys once. It was alright, nothing exceptional. The cadburys with oreo bits inside them is still my favorite chocolate bar to date.
Cadbury fruit and nut is my go-to bar of chocolate if I'm out hiking/on fieldwork, because it gives you a nice immediate boost of sugar, and the slower burn of the nuts and fruit. But my all time favourite? Cadbury's Caramel, that stuff is fucking delicious.
In case you're actually wondering why Hershey's tastes so weird compared to any actual chocolates, it's because the manufacturing process partially polymerizes the fats in the milk, producing butyric acid. Butyric acid is the component in human vomit that makes it smell like vomit. The reason they do this is because the Hershey process for chocolate production allows the use of older milk, which is cheaper. Lypolization stabilizes the milk to prevent further decomposition and bacterial growth, and increases its shelf life. It's a byproduct of making cheaper chocolate, but they just never got rid of it.
I just threw up in my mouth a little. It was like eating a Hershey's bar but I didn't have to pay for it!
No wonder Hershey's tastes like shit. 10%!?!
Over here milk chocolate is 36%

When I was on a Duke of Edinburgh hike, I'd twisted my ankle and we had about two miles to go. I ate the 3/4s of a bar I had left and for the next 30 mins, I was so high on sugar I couldn't feel pain :v: On topic, Cadbury's is like my default go to chocolate, unless I'm in the mood to pay a little extra. Definitely nicer than Galaxy (not that Galaxy is bad, but it's too creamy for me). Hersheys tastes revolting to me though. And yeah, even cheap continental chocolate blows our stuff of the water. Like, the Cadbury's with Daim Bar is okay, but when Milka used to make a bar with Daim Bar in it, it was so much nicer it was unreal.

You always find it really cheap too
I haven't tasted either.
Honestly E. Wedel makes excellent chocolate. Every time I go to Poland I always bring back a lot for my family. Along with one or two bottles of Żubrówka.
terry's chocolate orange is superior to all types of chocolate
why go for 99% when you can 100% [t]http://www.hotelchocolat.com/Images/Product/DefaultBlack/xxlarge/240591-SaintLucia-IslandGrowers-100-Dark-70g-Bar.jpg[/t] seriously though it's shocking how little cocoa solids there are in Hershey's.. is it like that with most murrican chocolate? Personally I find a lot of dark chocolate really bitter, so i'm more of a milky person. Don't like Hersheys, tastes.. odd. Like it feels like it's trying to be a chocolate but fails miserably.
I do know that those Lindt and Ferrero chocolates are really fucking good though, like waaaay better than Hershey's.
Lindt is a fucking chocolate master that much I know
Its fucking chocolate, and Cadbury won't even be able to keep using even 20% chocolate pretty soon with the way demand is outpacing supply.
Dunno what any of y'all are talking about. I love Hersey's stuff, I don't get any of this aftertaste any of you are talking about or anything. Cadbury's good as well, but I mostly just know it from the creme eggs. Which are just a tad too sweet, even for a sweet tooth like myself.
I live in NY and the closest place I can get cadbury from is Toronto [editline]24th January 2015[/editline] hershey's sucks, dove (galaxy) is pretty good though
Where in NY? I swear I've seen Cadbury in Wegmans here in wny.
I used to like Hershey as a kid but when I try it now it tastes like cardboard. But non-milk chocolate (basically any chocolate not primarily made for an American audience) is way to bitter for me. Hell, I think chocolate in general just doesn't taste that good and I don't understand the fuss.
in the south you can find cadbury stuff in publix also I always liked ikea's chocolates
karl fazer will always be in my heart could eat it by the truck load
am i the only one that prefers the not super-rich chocolate? i mean i've had really high quality chocolate made by local chocolate makers, but i can only ever stomach a few bites of that stuff
Milka Masterrace
I like Hershey's white chocolate though, if Hershey's taste like shit then does that mean I haven't tasted pure blooded Aryan white chocolate yet?!?!!?
I don't know about you guys, but fucking Cadbury is the best. I can just go to my local supermarket five minutes away and buy a full block size and Gnaw at the fucking delicious milky chocolatey goodness.
I do know that those Lindt and Ferrero chocolates are really fucking good though, like waaaay better than Hershey's.
Fucking this as well. Ferrero has that sort of Nutella chocolate taste inside. The best shit.

Going over 40% cocoa is just wrong. You might as well just eat raw cocoa beans by that point, it's not even chocolate any more.
Going over 40% cocoa is just wrong.
Going over 40% cocoa is just wrong. Roast a few in a pan with some butter, though, and they're great little crunchy things. They've got a sort of sour, nutty taste that you don't really get from chocolate. They are also horribly bitter.

[t]https://learnedittoday.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/img_6092.jpg[/t] Step up your game, guys.
I went to England over Christmas, and I couldn't get over how much better the chocolate was, even those tiny milk chocolate buttons. Also the Cadbury Marvelous Creations bars, the one with the Jelly-beans and pop rocks in it, I actually bought a full bar at the airport before I went back because I couldn't get enough of that weird sweet chewy but also chocolate bullshit going on. I've never tasted cadbury, but i really want too. I managed to find a way where i could import some hershey's a few months ago, since i was wanting to check out various foreign choclates. I was dissapointed when i found out that hershey's tastes like puke. Still my hope is to try out cadbury, cause i've managed to taste anything but that since i was lucky to find a store which sold milka in sweden when i visited storlien a week ago. How does actualy cadbury taste compared to milka/freia/marabou?
Nuh huh, try with these:
sheesh anything not norway gets all the cool stuff. I once found marabou with dried mango inside of it. All those brands are owned by the same company, why can't norway have anything nice. Wonder if i can find a place to import milka bars from, cause i can't find anything for cabury
Hershey's is the worst chocolate I've ever tasted, even the cheap $1 store brands taste better.
hersheys is vile the only thing hersheys i like is the cookies and cream bar, but its so small for how much it costs lindt is fucking amazing, but so expensive
Nuh huh, try with these:
Milka is great. I love their milk chocolate with no other addons.
I tried Hershey's when I was on a trip to the US and maybe I'm spoiled because of all the european chocolate I've been eating but Hershey's tastes like vaguely chocolate flavored dust and cardboard.
As someone who lives in the UK and has tried Hersheys all I can ask is why would someone willingly eat something that tastes like MDF and vomit?
