Hershey's attempts to block the sale of Cadbury in New York - but here's why Cadbury tastes so much

Best chocolate I had was this dark chocolate served at a local casino's buffet at the sweets section. It was a small bar with a bit of icing at the top. The chocolate took literally half a minute to melt in your mouth and taste it but when it did oh my fucking god. I tried a piece of Hershey's dark chocolate that was in a basket nearby and it tasted stale and boring in comparison. The casino's chocolate was also so dark it almost made Hershey's seem like milk chocolate.
Lindt is some of the best chocolate going imo. But then again I'm a massive chocoholic like Xubs so there's very little I don't like...

This stuff is awesome too!
Really tempted to order some of this stuff and try it out. I absolutely love dark chocolate. Can't get enough of it.
if you just treat it as chocolate flavoured 'candy' it's better.
I found this statement pretty depressing.
American "chocolate".
Reminds me of those "wyngz" that couldnt be called wings since they technically didnt have enough wing meat to be legally called wings
I'm really sad I can't get good milk chocolate here, it's where you really taste the white chocolate and not some bland coasting in your mouth.
I wish I liked Zero bars.
Nobody likes Zero bars.
are there european equivalents to these?

There is a market near my apartment where I can get imported Milka bars, but they are only open Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Now I'm craving European chocolate and I have to wait another week to get it :'c

Yeah, pretty sure either Cadbury's or Galaxy did a cookies n cream, maybe even both. That second thing basically looks like a shite wagon wheel and Reese's are sold in quite a lot of places so it's p. much moot

99% is a bit overkill but I'm a definite fan of the 50% to 80% cocoa range chocolates.

Well, I say that but I haven't tried some yet.
I should.
What I find amazing about dark chocolate is how little you need for the taste.

The slightly fruity aftertaste is also nice, dark chocolate is one of the few bitter things i like
Dark chocolate is roughly equivalent to having Satan shit in your mouth.
Fact.
I like Hershey's, I've been on the factory tour once, neat place.
They also have a theme park.

I do want to try Euro chocolate some time though, never seen it anywhere, probly have to order it online.

Have you taken a big bite out of some? The trick is to take very very small tiny bites out of it. It's really nasty when you take a big bite, but it's delicious when you pace yourself and really eat just a tiny portion at a time.

Am i the only one who likes to eat dark chocolate in large bites?
I went to England over Christmas, and I couldn't get over how much better the chocolate was, even those tiny milk chocolate buttons.
Also the Cadbury Marvelous Creations bars, the one with the Jelly-beans and pop rocks in it, I actually bought a full bar at the airport before I went back because I couldn't get enough of that weird sweet chewy but also chocolate bullshit going on.

They've only discontinued one of the flavours of that.

I don't care about the expiration date, I will literally kill myself just to keep eating it.
I'm such a plebeian that even getting a Hershey bar is a big deal for me. Candy is expensive and I tend to be frugal with my money, so I only really buy any when there's a sale or for some reason I've got more money than usual. I've never had Cadbury chocolate, and I had the chance to try it when I was in high school on a trip to England, but stupid me never bought any while I was there. I don't think I've ever seen Cadbury chocolate in the stores here and if I did it'd probably be too expensive.
My dad got a stack of gift boxes as his holiday bonus this Christmas (he was peeved since he'd rather have cash, who wouldn't) and it had fancy shit like smoked salmon and exotic fruits, but it also came with expensive chocolate from a foreign brand that I'd never heard of. He gave me some of it and it was the best tasting chocolate I've ever had. He threw away the wrappings so I never got the name of it, but it'd probably cost too much to justify a purchase if I ever found it.
So yeah, I'm stuck with the occasional Hershey Bar, Reese's Cups or M&Ms. Since I've been raised with them they're palatable, but they don't compare at all to that fancy chocolate I had before.
Lindt's quality has been down the drain for the past few years. It's still one of the best chocolate out there mind you, but you can find even better ones.
Fun fact : I live a few Km away from the Lindt factory (Oloron-Sainte-Marie), my gf's uncle works there and brings some of their new products every few months, they keep creating new sorts of chocolate bars it's incredible.
hershey's is terrible but reese's is fucking amazing
Karl Fazer and Marabou, the top tier.
Fuck man, i had Marabou when in Sweden, i've been itching for some but every time i go to see how much it'd cost to get some to england i get sad.
Poor fellas....their fist world brands don't use dulce de leche as an ingredient.
You are privated from one of the best sweet feelings in the world. But you settle for those "peanut" and "caramel" cheap carbon copy substitutes
May one day freedom come and your taste buds be liberated
You know about Belgian chocolate's reputation... That's what I've eaten my whole life and mildly enjoyed it.
But the day I went to Oxford and ate Cadbury chocolate for the first time, it was one of the best things I had ever eaten. I fell in love with it instantly. I'd go back to England just to buy myself some Cadbury. My eyes are filling up with tears just thinking about it, oh my God.
PM me your address, I'll send you a few bars :)
Do we actually have a dedicated thread somewhere to talking about chocolate and sweets? This thread made me really curious.
Also i wonder if britsuperstore ships to norway. If they do, then i'l definately order some after my supply of marabou run dry.
Belgian chocolate best chocolate you fuck bois:
