Is it safe to use stuff that isn't the store, like the workshop?
Are you kidding? They have one of the most absurd kind of security issues you can have. Not leaking passwords, not leaking emails. Having their service load up another accounts session just by going to the store. And taking 40 minutes to shut it down.
Yeah but that's not even resulting in anything bad. Leaking passwords or leaking emails would be waaaaaaaay worse. This would at worst result in someone knowing what phone number or what email you have associated with your steam account and maybe seeing the last 4 digits of your card. You can't really do shit with any of that.
[t]http://puu.sh/m8vuu/3bd4ef6ab9.png[/t] !!! its happening (User was banned for this post ("Shitposting/trolling" - Gurant))
yeah thats all im trying to figure out. so there's no way they could have seen my full card details then yeah?
No way.
Am I remembering wrong or does steam always ask for the security code on the back of the card, even with saved payment info?
They do, as well as expiration date.
I can't even login to my steam account!
Remember when Valve still was a small game developer, recently known for the Orange Box, that also housed a relatively small game distribution platform?
yeah that was yesterday they still have the same amount of staff
Is logging off safe? I logged off my account but now I'm not sure if that was the right choice.
Its best not to update stuff just because its a newer version. That is how you get issues like this.
Errr, the latest stable version is 1.8.0. Look at the changelogs:
Changes with nginx 1.5.0 07 May 2013 *) Security: a stack-based buffer overflow might occur in a worker process while handling a specially crafted request, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution (CVE-2013-2028); the bug had appeared in 1.3.9. Thanks to Greg MacManus, iSIGHT Partners Labs. Changes with nginx 1.5.7 19 Nov 2013 *) Security: a character following an unescaped space in a request line was handled incorrectly (CVE-2013-4547); the bug had appeared in 0.8.41. Thanks to Ivan Fratric of the Google Security Team. Changes with nginx 1.7.5 16 Sep 2014 *) Security: it was possible to reuse SSL sessions in unrelated contexts if a shared SSL session cache or the same TLS session ticket key was used for multiple "server" blocks (CVE-2014-3616). Thanks to Antoine Delignat-Lavaud.

[t]http://puu.sh/m8vuu/3bd4ef6ab9.png[/t] !!! its happening
steampowered steamgames stop this, no one could have bought shit, stop spreading panic
[t]http://puu.sh/m8vuu/3bd4ef6ab9.png[/t] !!! its happening
are you sure the steam stores been off for at least 10 minutes now, and how did the user actually stay in your account? maybe the cache has been leaking session ids? seems a little dubious.
Holy shit It's outdated
Uhm, what is this?
They should be making a cash back on all purchases made during the time. There are many automated services for credit card companies and payment providers that can initiate a large return order for this reason.
Remember when Valve still was a small game developer, recently known for the Orange Box, that also housed a relatively small game distribution platform?
Remember when Valve didn't have a total monopoly on the PC gaming market that allowed them the freedom to stagnate and stagnate due to a complete lack of serious competition which is the kind of shit that got us here in the first place I does
don't worry though, everythings fine, people can't buy anything with your details (source: my ass)
last thing I bought from Steam was fallout 4, in June.
[t]http://puu.sh/m8vuu/3bd4ef6ab9.png[/t] !!! its happening
Again, is this yours, or are you getting this from somewhere else?
[t]http://puu.sh/m8vuu/3bd4ef6ab9.png[/t] !!! its happening
Source?
Its best not to update stuff just because its a newer version. That is how you get issues like this.
Yeah but that version was originally posted in march 2014. There's "waiting to make sure everything will work before pushing out a new version" and just not updating it.
Uhm, what is this?
An HTTP server software, like Apache
nginx updates rapidly. 1.4.6 has only been out for about 2 years. that's like complaining that windows 8 is outdated
Yes, but windows 8 still gets security updates. I doubt that this older version has been receiving many of those.
are you sure the steam stores been off for at least 10 minutes now, and how did the user actually stay in your account? maybe the cache has been leaking session ids? seems a little dubious.
my bank is slow to push pending transactions. It's not like it would have shown up instantly.
