So it just got refunded?? Cancelled? gg either way?
Man why you gotta lie like this.. Firstly refunds always go onto a separate transaction. ESPECIALLY IN PENDING TRANSACTIONS! Otherwise it looks like STEAMGAMES.COM is going to AWARD your account with $278.39 without actually charging you first.
Should be:
12/25 -- STEAMGAMES.COM -- _______ -- $278.39
12/25 -- STEAMGAMES.COM -- $278.39 -- _______
12/24 -- BULLETS FOR GUN -- $39.82 -- ______
Before anyone says "but, but, what if steamgames charge already went through"; it doesn't work like that especially on holidays/weekends. Charges only go through on business days (after 2-3 business days to be exact). Also charges go through from earliest to latest (if first steam charge went through so should have the bullets for his gun).
Oh and in the second image you forgot to edit your total pending transactions under debit. Lemme guess you bought Chivalry for $2.78 (I think that was the price is USD last I remember) earlier today (or some McDees/coffee) and changed values around with F12.
it still doesn't compete because it doesn't have the literal thousands of games, AAA, indie, or old, that steam does
People do not think, "hmm, this brand new AAA game looks great... but should I get it on steam, or GoG?"
They have no choice. It is steam only. Maybe it's on origin or uplay, but only if EA or Ubisoft makes it. That also is not competition. It's a company releasing the game on their own DRM service that doesn't try to compete with Steam.
If it didn't try to compete with steam then their games would be on steam as well.
I'd wait a bit for either a statement from Steam or for a report from the community, everything *seems* okay but it wouldn't hurt to wait just in case.
I'd wait till like tomorrow morning.
Is everything ok now?
Are our passwords ok?

I'm sure the numbers have shifted since 2011 but it's not that hard to Google around for this kind of information.
but sometimes people buy a game from 1994 on Gog so steam isn't a monopoly, stupid nerds
The store is back for me as well.

so the issue is fixed? thank'd god,.?
"Walmart holds a monopoly in most small towns"
I can say this without citing a damn thing, but when I refer to Steam, the largest digital distributor ever, I have to back it up in MLA format with 10 sources.
Noone doubts it being the largest digital distributor, we're doubting what you actually said: 90% of pc games requiring steam to run.
It's fixed for me, can confirm
If it didn't try to compete with steam then their games would be on steam as well.
You're obviously not open for debate so i'm not going to bother, continue believing what you want but valve is an objective monopoly with zero major competition
they're a huge ass company, they need to write a statement that doesn't suck after assessing the amount of damage that's been dealt (it could be worse and we can not know about it) so expecting a statement after only an hour of the store being pulled is a bit far-fetched from a company like valve
reposting because people keep whining about how they've got nothing from valve..
but sometimes people buy a game from 1994 on Gog so steam isn't a monopoly, stupid nerds
51% of the market isn't a monopoly

I'm actually surprised that Amazon is at 11%
Go look up.
Shadow Warrior.
Prince of Persia.
Assassins Creed.
Saints Row 3.
Metro Last Light Redux and Metro 2033 Redux.
Soma.
The Walking Dead.
These are all major games and all of these games can be played on both steam or gog.
oh man....... 7 games..... valve is in trouble guys check out all this competition
so uh
I self-locked my account earlier. I'm trying to unlock it, and it's telling me to use a code that I should've gotten in an email to unlock the account.
I never got an email or a code.
All seems back to normal from my end
I'm actually surprised that Amazon is at 11%
Is this solely based on gaming?
Amazon has a pretty big media distribution service.
oh man....... 7 games..... valve is in trouble guys check out all this competition
You asked for proof and it was delivered and you're being sassy about it now?
51% of the market isn't a monopoly
I hate to break it to you, but they're making a joke bro.
steamgames is real for fucks sake lmao
I don't know if you misquoted a different post or you didn't read that one, but they're talking about transaction histories here, not the domain.
e.g. It should look like this:
STEAM: $9.99 you refunded the thing
STEAM: -$9.99 oh look you bought some game
AMAZON: -$199.99 xmas junk bought
Where a refund is added to the transaction history, not replacing a previous transaction.
Is this solely based on gaming?
Amazon has a pretty big media distribution service.
I'd assume so, during that time period Steam didn't have music on it.
so again is the issue fixed?
I hate to break it to you, but they're making a joke bro.
I feel decieved
51% of the market isn't a monopoly
Over half the market, zero competition, all major and even most small games exclusive to the platform, no to play most of them without being logged in
clearly there's a wealth of alternative choices here
also, amazon, gamestop, and gamersgate all sell games that activate on steam so they don't even really count
Go look up.

Calling Steam a monopoly is like calling Google a monopoly. They have competitors but their competitors are incompetent.

Please google competition.
They do not control the entire market.
so again is the issue fixed?
Seems to be. I mean, everything is working fine, at least for now.
You asked for proof and it was delivered and you're being sassy about it now?
silly me, 7 games obviously compete with over 10k
Over half the market, zero competition, all major and even most small games exclusive to the platform, no to play most of them without being logged in

I'm pretty sure having half of a market does not classify "zero competition".
So a side effect of all this is that the marketplace seems to act like I've purchased a game today as far as the trading restrictions go (my last purchase was last christmas so I couldn't market stuff to get something this one), so I can do that in a month now.
