How the hell does this even happen?
How does something remotely crazy as this even happen in the first place?
If its a cache issue it could be as simple as a typo.
All those poor valve employees who will be called in to work on Christmas to fix this...
Anyone else with steam guard, can confirm they are getting emails about new logins?
god i hope mobile authenticator is the safest shit i can have now
I clicked on my steam wallet to make sure someone wasn't charging my account. Took me to someone else's page and all of their purchase history. I closed it and just have my client staring at my library. I panicked for a sec because I thought all of those recent purchases (the dude bought a bunch of games for xmas) was on my shit and my bank account was already low so I was afraid of overdrawn fees from my bank n shit. I have 2 step authentication, should I worry?
I'm in someone elses account settings.
I can change their fucking E-Mail Account.
ALso see their payment details

From some of what I've been hearing, rather easily actually. I've had it happen to me at least once with Origin and with UPlay before.
Shit like this is the reason I always, ALWAYS move my money from the one tied to my card to another one. If someone steals my shit or (if something like this happens) nobody can buy anything with my details. I'll just ride this one out.

I have steam guard - Not getting any emails, don't know if thats because no-ones had access to my account or because its not been triggered by the people accessing it.
Good fun.

nothing yet
If someone try to mess with my account, I should be getting emails, right?
tbh valve deserve all the flak they get for this, this is really bad
Great I just logged onto the store to see what on earth was going on. Now I guess my account is compromised. Fantastic.
Disable Ghostery for tweets if you have it
Don't know what that is. Funnily enough this happens on my phone and desktop so I have no idea why that happens.
So, if you've entered the steam store today, you're going to have issues?
As in, your information is out there?
Jesus, trying to access my wallet allowed me to see someone else's family settings, wallet, and purchases
I'm in someone elses account settings.
I can change their fucking E-Mail Account.

But can you actually see their payment number and such? Isn't that starred out?
My Steam app just had its CSS break ???? or something since its now showing me a normal webpage
god i hope mobile authenticator is the safest shit i can have now
Well, your number can be edited/removed. Atleast only the last 4 digits can be seen. And only the last 2 digits of your credit card information if you save it.
Luckily I don't save any information

WHY HAVENT THEY SHUTDOWN EVERYTHING YET
Was it a good idea to log out of my steam
Anyone else with steam guard, can confirm they are getting emails about new logins?

If someone try to mess with my account, I should be getting emails, right?
Not if they are not logging in and are just being shown the page from the cache system.
Oh god this is a real shitshow, I hope nothing happens really to me or my brother.
Now comes the fun part where steam support really gets to shine. i wonder how many hours of chaos its gonna be before they start sorting this shit.
Hours? Make it days with the response time of their non-automated support.
Was it a good idea to log out of my steam
Right now it's best to literally do nothing. Don't use any steam services
