nothing yet
also using steam guard and mobile authenticator, no emails so far
I now know 5 people's home addresses and phone numbers.
What a fuck up.
well this sucks indeed
i went to accoutn details, thought it was mine and deleted the cc info, turns out it was another persons anyway
I thought someone got into my account and bought rust 4 pack and other shit
All those poor valve employees who will be called in to work on Christmas to fix this...
Which is their fault?
I have steam guard - Not getting any emails, don't know if thats because no-ones had access to my account or because its not been triggered by the people accessing it.
Good fun.
Damn, maybe it was when I tried to log in earlier. Good thing I think my CC info wasn't saved, not exactly sure. I buy mostly physical copies.
So, if you've entered the steam store today, you're going to have issues?
As in, your information is out there?
everyone accounts is fucked.
I can change their fucking E-Mail Account.
No you can't
someone tried to buy shit on my account, saw it and just got the time to remove it
when your company is making millions and you dont even bother to have a separate division dedicated to customer support other than just 1 or 2 guys at the office bored on their lunch breaks, not really
Because I'm sure you know the inner workings of Valve's company and resources, right? You're probs right, though, obviously the employees of a million-user platform aren't even doing anything if the issue isn't fixed yet, duhh.
unlinked paypal from steam, thankfully steam guard is enabled so there shouldn't be any problems other than my private info being in the hands of some random bobs and ivans
i reckon they're gonna compensate everyone who bought games during this period
No payment info saved. I use one password for Steam and don't use it for anything else. I know only my last 4 digits of my phone number can be seen. I'm safe no matter what happens. So I'm kind of enjoying watching this shit storm
I don't think anything will happen to anyone's accounts, though
Thankfully I never save credit card info.
My main question is why the fuck is everything still up? They should pull it down rather than let people's info get exposed.
i reckon they're gonna compensate everyone who bought games during this period
they should compensate everyone for having their steam login usernames and emails and addresses potentially viewed by complete randoms.
Holy shit I can't even log back into steam. This is fucked.
I'm just glad none of my card info was even set up on my account to begin with.
Which is their fault?
More like everyone in the steam store back end department has to ruin their holiday plans to fix one guy's fuckup
went to account details and found someone else with their info. fuck
Probably yes.
Hope so
They better give us something good for this
I wish my card info was not saved. I have steam guard and they still need a verification code to do anything, but who wants to worry about this on Christmas?
God fucking dammit Valve. I usually am more defensive of them than your average person on here but this is awful.
tbh valve deserve all the flak they get for this, this is really bad
first hldms breaking, then the R8 update not being tested, and now this
heads are gonna fucking roll
Alright, we need to set this shit straight. If ANYONE has been locked out of their account, or been able to look at someones security details (I'm talking the full numbers here, not the starred out one), please respond.
We need to understand just how fucked we really are here. We know your name, email, and address can be accessed, but I've heard nothing of any credit card breaches.
Great timing for this sort of thing. Why haven't they turned off their servers yet?
Even giving everyone $100 on their steam wallet for free (Which they wont) wouldn't be enough to compensate all of the emails and such getting out.

Keep an eye on your email in case someone tries to fuck up your account. in the mean time its best not to logged in or use any steam service at all for now and hope everything gets sorted out ASAP.
