Quick list of compromised info if someone lands on your page: - Your Steam login name - Your payment method (!!) (e.g. "Paypal" or "[Cardbrand] ending in 1234") - Your Steam Wallet Balance - Your Email address - Your Steam Guard status - Last few digits of your phone number if you have mobile authentication - Your (store) Country - Your entire purchase history - Your entire license/product activation history (e.g. activating a retail purchase on Steam) Looks like they might be shutting certain bits of Steam account stuffs now to contain the damage.
what why
If its a cache issue someone could swap right onto that page which is FUCKING AWFUL goddamn steam
what why
You have to go onto the store to remove it, which will then get you caught in it.
Think this is basically from their caching servers sending out pages people have accessed today instead of new ones (as today was meant to have heavy DDOS so they got more caching stuff infront of main servers).
So you're stuff should be safe if you didn't view your own account details today?
Conspiracy Theory: Steam really wants us to use the mobile authenticator.
Did anyone else notice that you only get into the accounts of people from your country? Every time I click "Account Details" or, well, do anything, I get accounts from Portugal.
Nope, I got accounts from Poland, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Finland and all other EU countries.
Okay, the Accoint Details page isn't loading anymore on my mobile, so they might have finally taken that offline.
My advice is to just monitor your banking info, your phone, and your email to make sure no compromises happen. Just keep checking them. and stay the fuck off the store, go in offline or family mode and stop viewing pages.
steam is just a black screen or not loading now
I can't access store nor community. its darkness everywhere.
I swear to god if one person reports their wallet has been compromised then Valve can go to hell.

unlinked paypal from steam, thankfully steam guard is enabled so there shouldn't be any problems other than my private info being in the hands of some random bobs and ivans
I'd love it if I could do that but it won't let me
Looks like they shut it down.
Not gonna use Steam period, till they fix this.
Alright, we need to set this shit straight. If ANYONE has been locked out of their account, or been able to look at someones security details (I'm talking the full numbers here, not the starred out one), please respond. We need to understand just how fucked we really are here. We know your name, email, and address can be accessed, but I've heard nothing of any credit card breaches.
I haven't gone so far to change anyone's information (I'm not a cunt) But it appeared that I could change someone's phone number, and add/remove payment information, (paypal included, I'm not sure how deep you can go into the Paypal options) though not actually see complete phone or CC numbers. So worst case scenario your account might have some changes on it, but I don't think your information is compromised
Not trying to escalate this situation but PANIC
If you're not trying to escalate things then stop saying stupid shit. The best thing to do in a situation is the exact opposite of what you suggested.
I'd love it if I could do that but it won't let me
Don't

I'm not sure why you keep reposting this, it has become quite obvious that it doesn't care whether you are online or not.
I was just thinking, if it is a caching issue then their fix might take a while to actually propagate surely.
"It is fine to unlink Steam using http://PayPal.com itself. Just don't do it via the Steam store." https://twitter.com/SteamDB/status/680498566478098432
why, how does this put me at more risk
Only took them 40 goddamn minutes to pull the plug.
Well shit, the initial response i did was to quickly change my password. Now i'm "locked" out of steam since there's been too many login failures from my network, luckily there's not many people on the network i'm on.
Is talking to people on steam safe?
Chatting should be fine, I mean I'm still able to talk to people on steam.
Onward to offline mode I went, here's hoping none of my shit got viewed.

Honestly, why doesn't Steam have a group for this sort of stuff and updates? They have the means to do so. Just have a Steam group (perhaps mandatory) for it.
Only took them 40 goddamn minutes to pull the plug.
That's what ASAP means in Valve time.

Are you fucking kidding me
So you're stuff should be safe if you didn't view your own account details today?
Now that I think about it, that makes sense, I think.
what why
From what I can gather, Steam knows what it is supposed to load, but the cache server is providing the same page for someone else who tried to do the same thing. So every time you try to view a page, the view that you're supposed to see is being redirected and someone else might get it, and instead you'll get the view someone else was supposed to see. As far as I am can discern anyway.
looks like they pulled the plug on the store
from what I was sent, someone started DDoSing the Store page.
