Wait so are you guys actually blaming israel for this? D:
for what, the human rights violations, disproportionate use of force, or the disregard for civilian casualties?
for what, the human rights violations, disproportionate use of force, or the disregard for civilian casualties?
Yes.
They only did it because hamas launched rockets. Israel did set out a warning. edit: for anyone that's wondering I'm talking with a girl who's in america, but lives in israel on and off.
They only did it because hamas launched rockets. Israel did set out a warning.
Poor Jewish people, they're people have been harassed for thousands of years, and they don't complain. A lot of israelis are good people really.
I can't tell if that's sarcasm or sincere.
sincere.
you sir, are a good man.
I mean it, I know a black kid who gets offended really easily if he finds the slightest racist issue (most of the time it's not even racist) and shits bricks because he thinks it's racism. But I know a jewish kid who is friendly and finds jewish jokes hilarious, he has a cool bike too. His name is jerry, i love him.
We should threaten to nuke both countries if they don't both stop fighting, and nuke Lebanon to show them we aren't bluffing, and to keep the Turks happy.
We should threaten to nuke both countries if they don't both stop fighting, and nuke Lebanon to show them we aren't bluffing, and to keep the Turks happy.
that wasn't funny.
We should threaten to nuke both countries if they don't both stop fighting, and nuke Lebanon to show them we aren't bluffing, and to keep the Turks happy.
genocide, HILARIOUS, here's a funny rating!
They only did it because hamas launched rockets. Israel did set out a warning. edit: for anyone that's wondering I'm talking with a girl who's in america, but lives in israel on and off.
"Attention, we are now going to bomb your homes. Goodbye."
They only did it because hamas launched rockets.
Hamas only launched rockets because they have to live in ghettos and are regularly abused by the IDF Well also because they're crazed jihadists but you probably see where I'm going with this
Hamas only launched rockets because they have to live in ghettos and are regularly abused by the IDF Well also because they're crazed jihadists but you probably see where I'm going with this
I'm not sure I do actually.
Hamas only launched rockets because they have to live in ghettos and are regularly abused by the IDF Well also because they're crazed jihadists but you probably see where I'm going with this
Don't know where you got your facts but israel allowed supply shipments into gaza strip and promised they'd cut off the supply lines as soon as the first rocket was fired. Guess what happened? Hamas launched rockets because they're physco fucking jihadists. They had a chance to live a normal life but they went and decided to fuck it up.
I'm not sure I do actually.
The point is it is silly to blame one side for "starting" any given incident, since the tensions in the country have been running incredibly high since its inception. People are criticizing Israel for disproportionate use of force, which is what people always criticize Israel for (because that's what Israel always does). Nobody's criticizing Israel for attacking without provocation.

Israel isn't purposely hitting civilian targets. They sent out a warning to stay out of places where hamas is known to hang out at, which would be common knowledge among the general populace, because they were going to perform airstrikes on the militant targets, where Hamas was just shooting to kill.
Israel isn't purposely hitting civilian targets.
That doesn't mean that they don't know they're going to kill large numbers of civilians in these airstrikes. They're not idiots. The excuses start to wear thin after the first few thousand dead civilians.
War doesn't come without losses. When America hit Iraq, aiming for "militant targets" they accidentally killed a hundred thousand civilians or so, while you look at the Israeli kill count barely reaching three hundred.
War doesn't come without losses. When America hit Iraq, aiming for "militant targets" they accidentally killed a hundred thousand civilians or so, while you look at the Israeli kill count barely reaching three hundred.
Why are you trying to compare the casualties of A WAR with a few days of air strikes? P.S. America's invasion of Iraq isn't exactly universally regarded as a great job either
So this is a war now, is it?
Well, there are rockets flying overhead, planes firing air-to-surface missiles, and tanks are surrounding Gaza strip. It's your call, really.
I'd call it a conflict.
I don't see why the Palestinians use Britain/France's land agreement in this argument. The UN's decision is MUCH more important than two countries decisions. To say otherwise kind of undermines the UN.
I guess you're right. But I have a feeling that this is going to PROGRESS into a war.
I'd call it a conflict.
I'd call it a war - nevertheless, a conflict or war does not come without the loss of civilian life.
The UN's decision is MUCH more important than two countries decisions. To say otherwise kind of undermines the UN.
Pfff, the UN. Their power has diminished dramatically since the sixties. Edit:
If it is even fucking possible to get through Hamas/Israeli boarder control without being shot.
You'd probably get shot at by both parties. And if you were a sign that said you were an AID worker, you'd probably get shot by HAMAS. Edit:
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSLS69391620081229
Note where that article was published... in GAZA you need permission from HAMAS to publish any material or to be a journalist, and adhere to strict guidelines. If you venture from those guidelines, which blatantly suggest if you suggest Israel is in the right, you can be punished by death.
I don't see why the Palestinians use Britain/France's land agreement in this argument. The UN's decision is MUCH more important than two countries decisions. To say otherwise kind of undermines the UN.
Pre-existing treaties supercede treaties that come in conflict with them, to think otherwise is stupid. Hamas controls all media / journalism in the gaza, it's kind of obvious.
