Hell, I can't understand the people on here who keep bashing Isreal.
Just imagine what the USA would do if Cuba decided to launch rockets at Florida. :rolleye:
Cuba probably wouldn't exist anymore.
I'm from Israel, ask me questions gentlemen.
Certainly nowhere near enough to have a justice comparing Israel to Nazi Germany.
Palestinians have killed Israelis before.
Thousands to be precise.
Agreed.

At this point we'd probably give them a medal for solving our medicaid problem. :ahaw:
Question.
Why the fuck are people comparing the deaths of 500 people*, to the deaths of an estimated 5,709,329 people.
*Most likely not accurate, but seems to be the number people are using in the thread.
The problem lies on both sides. Whatever the Israeli military does, it will cause suffering, that is because of way that Hamas is fighting. So no response the Israeli military can muster will be of sufficient force. It will either be too weak, and have no effect, or it'll be too strong, civilians will be killed, and the hamas cause will grow. BUT, at the same time, the blame lies with Hamas. If they, rather than killing Israeli civilians, tried a guerrilla war effort in fighting with the Israeli military, rather than attacking Israeli civilians, then they would make more headway.
Then again, this whole problem could have been ended 40 something years ago.
That's my two cents anyway.
Are you fucking serious :downs:
While it is nearing 500, the last count I heard of civilian deaths was somewhere around 64. Out of 500. And don't even fucking compare this to the Holocaust, it is nowhere even near the realm of the Holocaust.
Nazi Germany - Killed approximately six million innocent people.
Israel - 500, 64 civilians.
Correction: 500, 64 civilians by accident.
Edit:
Fucking lock this thread, I've had enough of this anti-semite bullshit. It's really offensive.
The holocaust and political correctness have fuck all to do with this.
Territory and money? What is there? What is so ungodly valuable that they must slaughter people for it? Israel is a bit smaller than New Jersey and has no major natural resources of any real consequence. On top of that the region is a shitty place to exist based on climate and local rainfall to begin with. There would have to be money to be had for there to be a money dispute, and what money Israel does have is the result of the extremely well educated and intelligent population pushing the tech industry. (especially, from what I understand, in the laser department. Israeli scientists looove lasers.)
Furthermore, there are only two types of legitimate ways to create suicide bombers in large numbers:
1) Have a society so powerful that you can convince your soldiers that dying for their country is an honorable action worth their lives. This was the method used for the Japanese kamikaze pilots in WWII
2) Have a religion so powerful that you can convince your followers en masse that god wants them to give their lives up for the cause and that they will be forever rewarded for it.
Outside of that, it is extremely difficult to create enough soldiers to fuel a suicide bombing war machine. Humans are like all other mammals and possess an extremely strong self preservation drive.
So which one do you think is responsible for the suicide bombers hitting the Israelis?
There is no doubt that the two sides behind the Israelis and Hamas are not interested at all in their religious differences, and frankly I don't even feel like the Israelis give a shit either, but the Arabic resistance is all about death to the Jews.
They legalized the crucifixion of followers of other religions. The Hamas offensive is publicly referred to as a Jihad and they make use of the Shari laws.
THEY. ARE. FUELED. BY. RELIGION.
I hope you get the point.
Where does Israel get money in its desolate land? Well the USA seems to be a nice big support for them.
Suicide bombers? What do you hear them say? I can only expect an answer from someone who listens and is not ignorant. They say "We wish for death more than you desire life"...Most suicide bombers are nothing but depressed war torn underdogs, suicide is the way for them to go, and how about taking down a few enemies with them? That sounds like an amazing choice to me.
Of course, Hamas, being pricks, play on people's depression and state of mind in a territory that has been in conflicted for 60 years and occupied for 41 years.
This conflict is fueled by grudges, the Palestinians will never forget 1948 and the Jews (Zionists not just any Jews) will never let anyone push them around, contrary to that, they will actually push others around as they see fit since they found it effective since 1948 and 1967.

oh it was an accident that's better i love israel those gazan children are just anti-semites.
FUCK YEAH ISREAL :jewish:
but really, they had the right to invade. In fact, I think they should've done it a long time ago. Isreal has been offering cease fire after cease fire and all Hamas said was basically "screw you". Now the Hamas leader is telling his people to destroy the Jews and kill civilians...What a great thing to be fighting for. Prejudice. And the poor civilians of Palestine are caught in the middle of this Terrorist vs. Jewish religious war.

How badly has the blockade ruined things?
My gramps died in Israel :(
Hopefully this won't last long, what are they fighting over?
it's pretty much a holy war. they've been fighting for hundreds of years and they'll never get along
Mayor Bloomberg is in Israel siding with them by the way.
How badly has the blockade ruined things?
Of course, I cannot go in Gaza my self, but apparently there has been food and medical aid shortages. HOWEVER, there are smuggling underground tunnels going from Gaza to Egypt where people have been getting supplies. Unfortunately this is where Hamas also gets it materials for rockets and people have exploited the benefit of being able to buy cheap goods in Egypt and sell them more expensively in Gaza.
This whole tunneling thing has become a full blown industry, sad really. :(
it's pretty much a holy war. they've been fighting for hundreds of years and they'll never get along
No they have not been fighting for hundreds of years, only in 1897 was there a real effort for the Jews to build a state in Palestine. (That is when the first Zionist conference took place with Theodore Herzl, the founder of POLITICAL Zionism) And actual conflict started when the Ottoman fell and the more uninformed British Mandate took over in 1918.
Mayor Bloomberg is in Israel siding with them by the way.
Is that really surprising?
So the tunnels are kind of like a black market? Also do the Israelis know about the tunnel networks? because they could end up being ambush points if anyone has the idea of building tunnel exits in strategic areas.
I just had Chicken Chow Mein noodles, not very Palestinian, I know. :v:
It is very Woody Allen, though.
Edit:
My parents always said that technology will make us all so anti-social that we'll settle wars on the internet, probably through video games. All things considered, is that really a bad alternative to mindless violence?
Instead of hearing about the number of deaths, we'd be hearing about number of frags.
So the tunnels are kind of like a black market? Also do the Israelis know about the tunnel networks? because they could end up being ambush points if anyone has the idea of building tunnel exits in strategic areas.
Yes they are very much like a black market, although not everything they sell is bad, and yes the Israelis know about them.
