Israel to treat 'stray dogs and cats' for rocket trauma http://bbsnews.net/article.php/20090105235654953 No idea if it's remotely valid but i laughed.

The only rational conclusion is that Israeli's, or at least their officials, believe that Palestinian lives are so cheap, that instead of pushing for peace and an end to the brutal occupations that for decades have precluded it, instead conflict will be maintained and stray cats and dogs
HAHAHA, no evidence to support a claim like that. I love the websites motto:
* Where TRUE conservative "family values" do not include hidden bigotry or blatant social and environmental ignorance.
Edit:
Dude you have convinced me that you are a fucking bot.
How so?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7815929.stm Looks like Hamas might achieve it's goals after all.
Also, the tungstun only causes cancer if you're in the blast radius, but you ain't going to survive. :/
Not exactly sure how that can cause cancer - and it's a new weapon designed to be destructive within a 5m radius, but after that, the damage drops down dramatically. Also, it makes lots of shrapnel, sounds like a rocket coming from the HAMAS!
Beeep! Wrong! Also, a blog entry who collected the news together. http://www.richardsilverstein.com/tikun_olam/2006/10/10/israel-tests-new-lethal-weapon-in-gaza/ (He's not really THAT neutral though).
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7815929.stm Looks like Hamas might achieve it's goals after all.
Not sure how that's is the HAMAS's goals.
Hamas is only trying to posture a better position in the outcome of the conflict. And if a ceasefire is made, with better conditions for Hamas than it had before, I'm sure that is a victory to them. The ceasefire only broke down over the blockade to begin with anyway. So you could say Hamas initiative effectively removed it.
Hamas is only trying to posture a better position in the outcome of the conflict. And if a ceasefire is made, with better conditions for Hamas than it had before, I'm sure that is a victory to them.
Yeah, but Israel won't let supplies in unless the HAMAS stopped shooting the rockets. So essentially, it would be a greater victory to Israel.
The ceasefire only broke down over the blockade to begin with anyway. The people need to be within the blast radius, where they are unlikely to survive.
The ceasefire didn't break down, it expired, and the HAMAS did not want to renew it.
It was not renewed because of the blockade.
Yeah, but Israel won't let supplies in unless the HAMAS stopped shooting the rockets. So essentially, it would be a greater victory to Israel.
Really? The rockets are used purely as a political/terror weapon, they have very little military value. Hamas is using them to achieve it's own aims. Successfully it would seem. Basically, they are not firing rockets at Israel for the sake of firing rockets.
If anything, Palestinian resistance has only got stronger. Long gone are the days when Hamas was just a bunch of disenfranchised teenagers throwing rocks.
Now they're a bunch of disenfranchised teenagers firing shoddy weaponry from civilian structures. They got weaker. Cowardly too, and they're going to get nothing done because of it.
Now they're a bunch of disenfranchised teenagers firing shoddy weaponry from civilian structures. They got weaker. Cowardly too, and they're going to get nothing done because of it.
How can they be disenfranchised since they won the government elections? :rolleye: And how they can scare a regional power into acting rashly. Not exactly weak.
It was not renewed because of the blockade.
... lol
Really? The rockets are used purely as a political/terror weapon, they have very little military value. Hamas is using them to achieve it's own aims. Successfully it would seem. Basically, they are not firing rockets at Israel for the sake of firing rockets.
Then why fire them? It just brings more damage to the civilian population. Oh wait, I forgot, the HAMAS don't care about their own people. Yes, I'm willing to accept that that video is EXTREMELY bias, and they have left a few facts out when talking about Operation Cast Lead, but it's relevant, and the facts are correct, and accepted by both sides. Edit:
How can they be disenfranchised since they won the government elections? :rolleye: And how they can scare a regional power into acting rashly. Not exactly weak.
We all know they were not democratic in nature. I forgot when you kill and arrest the opposition party (FATAH), you're creating a very democratic election.
... lol
Oh :downs: Conditions of the ceasefire. 1. Israel would drastically reduce its military blockade of Gaza. 2. Israel would halt all military incursions into Gaza. 3. Hamas would halt all rocket attacks into Israel. Both 1 and 2 where not upheld by Israel. So why would Hamas not resorted to 3? Is it really that surprising?
Where did you get that information from?
:downs: wow. Just wow. :downs: How about you do some leg work for a change? Seriously. Hell even a little google search would tell you all you needed to know about the ceasefire.
Wow 3 kids that's like, 1000 times less kids than in Israel we got dead people here too, not from their rockets but from the endless terror over the years.
How many Israelis do you think have actually died since 2000?
I'm pretty much against them both, but still leaning more torwards Israel since from what I've understood, Israel is bombing the palestines in response to the palestines bombing them for being jewish. Which I think is more of a valid reason. But then again for the thousandth time, the fuck do I know?
How can they be disenfranchised since they won the government elections? :rolleye:
Blockade, loss of land, etc. You're not very good with this.
And how they can scare a regional power into acting rashly.
Scare? It wasn't scaring anyone, it was asking for a beating. That's not power, that's the ability to wound yourself.
Are you kidding? Israel is terrified about the idea of having a radical national Palestinian movement on their doorstep.
:downs: wow. Just wow. :downs: How about you do some leg work for a change? Seriously. Hell even a little google search would tell you all you needed to know about the ceasefire.
I cbf. Source your information.
Israel is bombing the palestines in response to the palestines bombing them for being jewish.
Read a few pages of the thread please. I mean wow... So does anyone in the world actually know the situation? IF YOU ATTACK ISRAEL YOU'RE A NAZI LOVING ANTI-SEMITE!
I'm pretty much against them both, but still leaning more torwards Israel since from what I've understood, Israel is bombing the palestines in response to the palestines bombing them for being jewish.
They're not bombing them for simply being jews. Jews have lived in Palestine for thousands of years, hell there are still plenty of Arab and Palestinian Jews living there. It's more to do with border disputes than anything.
I cbf. Source your information.
Try this. http://www.alternativenews.org/news/english/in-the-gaza-ceasefire-agreement-hamas-holds-the-upper-hand-20080623.html
Israel still made efforts to constrict aid and commercial activity as much as possible.
They're not bombing them for simply being jews. Jews have lived in Palestine for thousands of years, hell there are still plenty of Arab and Palestinian Jews living there. It's more to do with border disputes than anything.
Oh, ok.
Try this. Edit:
They're not bombing them for simply being jews. Jews have lived in Palestine for thousands of years, hell there are still plenty of Arab and Palestinian Jews living there. It's more to do with border disputes than anything.
That's why the HAMAS leaders have been quoted saying they aim to spill the Jew's blood.
It mentions how Israel loosened, and allowed cargo to flow through...
Which they didn't.
Are you kidding? Israel is terrified about the idea of having a radical national Palestinian movement on their doorstep.
In the same way you're afraid of a spider. I just love this, the need to think Hamas is somehow getting something done despite the fact that they're getting themselves and others slaughtered and the rest of the free world is ignoring their cries for help.
Which they didn't.
Fffff. Fuck it, I'm going skiing, be back later.
Fffff. Fuck it, I'm going skiing, be back later.
The hell? I assume that you do realise that the article is from June 2008 and not last week right. in other words that article is from when the agreement was still fresh, no one had broken it yet.
That's why the HAMAS leaders have been quoted saying they aim to spill the Jew's blood.
That's why the Hamas leaders said they are willing to incorporate the jews peacefully into a Greater Palestine. Anti-Zionism does not equal anti-jew. There are plenty of Anti-zionist jews around the world.
