People just can't accept the fact that there's an entire background to someone that all adds up to that person's behaviour. Media can SOMETIMES be the trigger for these acts but only AFTER a pretty long and detailed history of problems that are all equally the reason as to why a person performs these acts.
It isn't the movie.
If anything it's the massive media circus that springs up and immortalizes the shooter in every single one of these events.

And I love how it causes these huge uproars. Like, if I would ever shoot up a school, I'd claim I was doing it to beat high scores and all sort of fun things.
Manson is a good example of a convicted psycho who has fun with the media.
I'd vote for Harvey.
I love it when people tell you to your face that violent games and movies will make you into a mentally ill person and that you have no distinction over reality and fantasy whatsoever.
