The emote is just a fucking furry face.
It in itself doesn't have anything to do with whatever fetishes the boyfriend took part in.
You won't even know anything about that if you didn't even do any digging.
As I explained previously, it is no different than having porn stars as icons, having an icon of a person or character that condones porn made of them or their creator condones porn created of is kind of out of character for a sfw site.
fuck twitch. get a real job, streamers.
Umm, it is almost no different than having a job on a radio show or being on TV, the only thing that changes is that your audience is smaller, and the entry costs are much smaller.
if i could sit in front of my computer all day and make fat stacks making a couple of fat nerds who have nothing better to do with their lives then watch another person play video games i'd be all for it.
I don't know about everyone else, but streaming seems like a pretty sweet gig.
Maybe if you were like a casual streamer and you made enough to live by while still doing what you wanted to, but anything that makes what I do for fun feel like a job would be a nightmare
its like pulsar effect RP and half the darkRP servers from gmod all over again. the second furrys get in power shit starts corroding and falling apart.
You can tell if a community is dying just by the amount of furries that are in them, they are like internet maggots that circlejerk over the remains of what used to be decent communities.
if i could sit in front of my computer all day and make fat stacks making a couple of fat nerds who have nothing better to do with their lives then watch another person play video games i'd be all for it.
You're over-glorifying streaming. It takes a shitton of time and effort to get enough people to actually watch your stream to be able to run ads and even more people are needed if you wanna make even half decent money off of it.
It's difficult if you're not an LoL pro. I don't know why but the number of people they pull for individual player streams are insane.
lol comparing disney movies to furry fantasies
Furries aren't just simply sex addicts, no matter how much you want to paint it like that.
Furries aren't just simply sex addicts, no matter how much you want to paint it like that.
There are furries which want to have no porn of their characters, and don't like the porn.
They are a minority though.

But I like watching people play games.

Go ahead and try then. Because it's lightyears more difficult than you make it out to be.
Same with running a successful youtube channel.
It didn't matter what the content of the emote was, it was added without any justification or relevance to the site. Shit only elevated when someone made a joke about it and got subsequently banned. We're 11 pages in, it's been explained several times over; read the fucking thread.
Yeah like I would read 11 pages of bullshit.
What harm does 1 picture do to a website that you don't even run?
It's not like your computer will suddenly start to buckle from the sheer weight of rendering a 32x32 picture of the face of a furry
And I don't get why that would even be a problem.
It doesn't really do anything other than give you a bigger range of emoticons to use.
Oh man this is a picture of someone from porn!Think of the children!
This very face will poison them into making porn!

you seem the type that hates reading or comprehending things
let make it more simple k
a dude wanted to add emotes he liked
this furry dude deleted the emote without giving a reason
then the furry dude added an emote of his boyfriend site-wide
the dude made fun of him for deleting his emote while adding a new one
furry dude had that dude banned
more people got banned due to the furry dude's rage
drama happens
this matrix374 dude came to this thread and decided he can't read shit

Bloody Hell, it was not the idiotic emoticon alone that started this shitstorm, it was because popular streamers poke fun at it and got permabanned because the twitch admins, and Horror in particular cannot take a single joke at all.
Also, good job in admitting you didn't read anything about this thread at all.

Then you probably shouldn't even comment...

Because it was pointless as it was a global icon from what I understand which is extremely difficult to be able to get accepted. Heck, if it were just about him being a furry, you'd probably see an issue with bionicbunion's.
Man did I wake up to some delicious drama or what? Should be interesting to see when this ends.

While the reaction from the furry is totally inexcusable, the initial reaction from the streamers was totally immature and unneeded given that it's just a fucking little emote that doesn't do anything
You can tell if a community is dying just by the amount of furries that are in them, they are like internet maggots that circlejerk over the remains of what used to be decent communities.
This is the funniest fucking thing I've seen all week. Thank you.

Initial reaction from the streamers? They're not the ones who started it. Someone made a harmless joke, and people got mad and started trying to defend him when he got IP banned.
Then you probably shouldn't even comment...
I've already read two pages,9 more pages of people taking shit on furries, witty zingers and the rare useful info is totally worth drudging through!
While the reaction from the furry is totally inexcusable, the initial reaction from the streamers was totally immature and unneeded given that it's just a fucking little emote that doesn't do anything
So them making a joke about him making a useless icon because they deleted some icons that were limited use to that stream is immature?

You know, what we are talking about has been discussed, and by not catching up before posting, you are purposefully acting in an uninformed bringing up shit that has been resolved already, thus making useful info even more rare.

Totally understandable.
From the picture and OP it just sounded like they just suddenly started giving the site shit over that emote
If you want a proper summary, read this
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10VHQkzTDDUjrnOjDHK7pOEsrI9zmr9XkDnzxHGGSFCU/edit
OP might want to add this to his post, this summary is being updated as things develop, and it a good resource for people who want to know the full story. A better resource than the single image that's being used at least.
[editline]21st November 2013[/editline]
Also remember that Horror is the community manager, and the guy who handles what emotes people are allowed to use. He's meant to remove copyrighted material, but has in the past allowed popular streamers to have things like Jim Beam bottles and other copyrighted materials, but denied things like Touhou based emotes (which are not copyrighted).

I really don't want to browse all those pages for what exactly happened

uh buddy you better relax my runescape homeboy has twitch money on the stacks and he's a lazy lithuanian cunt bastard that broadcasts the stupidest shit
ex: runescape
he literally broadcasted himself ALCHING for hours with over 5K viewers the entire time.
in fact he laughs and jokes about how stupid the viewers are all the time

food for thought:
how many other hobbies/interests cause the participant to feel the need to change all of their various online profile avatar's to the related hobby and even go as far as creating an alter-persona of themselves.
and don't say an avatar of a TV series/anime/game is the same. These dudes decorate everything from their Facepunch profiles to their Steam profiles to their Deviantart profiles, etc all with furry shit, it's across the board.
The ratio of users having the same Facepunch and Steam avatar relating to their hobby i.e. a game/TV show is much lower compared to that of a furry hobby, and I would know as I am in expert in this field.
this post was inspired by glancing over some furryshit saying being a furry is a hobby and not a lifestyle choice, which is a blatant lie and offense to all sentient intelligence.
also, fun fact:
99% of furries are self-proclaimed philosophers who think everyone save themselves are ignorant swine and generally display their arrogance through online forum posts in a preemptive, rushed manner and most often with a disregard for actual knowledge on the subject or the content actually being discussed.
anddddddddd don't even say that isn't exactly 100% milkandcooki
the dude came in here probably thinking "wow what a horrible crime and offense to all sincere and decent human beings, I must defend this innocent group being flamed by the ignorant masses of facepunch trolls (guh, as usual (this is his pretentious internal dialogue)I'm using math parentheses as a means to format this portion of my sentence)))." Then about ten posts of furry-sensitive fueled retardrage later he realizes he didn't even know what the fuck he was talking about. Ultimately he most likely made the decision to never return to his place of shame and inevitably will conclude and reassure himself that he was still right and that, in the end, he is an intellectually superior being and everyone else is still ignorant and stupid compared to his natural gift of unhindered logic and reason.

If it's so easy, why haven't you done it already?
So the most common type?
Relationships built on a common interest generally don't last very long.
Also it's intresting how it's Fine to say All furries must die, furfags are worse than hitler, burn all furries, etc.. but if you would replace the word furry with gay suddenly you would be banned for a week because of "hate speech" or something similar. Sometimes FP has such a backwards mentality to acceptance and such.

i wonder how many people, like you and like the people youre complaining about, will keep bringing up the furry thing that has little to do with what happened.
you're also grouping all of FP together into one entity kind of like how people group furries into one entity. thats called generalization. it is damaging to everyone.

Ditto. I don't like furries as much as the average Facepunch poster but saying things like "they should burn in an oven" is completely terrible.

i get the feeling people don't literally mean that, also the reason most people dislike furries is more due to the obssesion creeping over EVERYTHING they get involved into(look at the MLP fanbase for instance).
a good example of this, is star trek online, where furries(and perverts in general, mostly furries through) were running ERP on open chat on one of the space stations, pissing off the rest of the (saner) playerbase who had to go there(because you have to do several missions there), until something awful STO guild(starfleet dental), started to annoy them for fun(and they still do it) by doing simple stuff such as using a fireworks near one, or dancing with their character(generally a muscular greenish dude without a shirt, other more weirdly looking aliens, or with hazmat suits), their meltdowns on the forums over it are hilarious(even some of the devs found it amusing).
also if anyone has a something awful account, i suggest you look at the STO thread, some of the stories are pretty funny.
