Numerous Twitch speedrunners banned in glorious display of administrative furry drama.

I followed the whole thing last night. To be perfectly honest guys, I don't think this has to do about Horror being gay or being a furry or anything, of course, that is used as fuel in the end.
But it seems more like it's all about him being an awful mod overall, he acted in a really unprofessional way for someone who is the admin of a site as big as twitch, banning speedrunners and other people for calling him out on shoving a global emote of his furry boyfriend fursona just because he can.

A pretty popular speedrunner called Werster that does pokemon Speed runs was pretty pissed off at the whole thing, when another speed runner made a joke about the emote and got his channel closed and he was IP banned for it. Meanwhile Horror was chilling on another stream like nothing was going on and Twitch was revolting. The whole experience was pretty crazy, but it is kinda shocking the admins pretty much said they won't do anything about it and they should just deal with it. According to a lot of people apparently horror has been an awful mod in many other occasions.
Again, one of the things I heard the most last night was people saying "I am not against gays and even not against furries that don't shove it on your face, but Horror is an awful mod and it's about time someone takes care of him", so please guys, don't make this a fight about how gay he is or how furry he is. He is simply a person with too much power that he shouldn't have because he clearly has abused it a lot.
Here's the joke in question that was apparently so outrageous that prompted the speed runner to get IP banned from the site:

This is ridiculous. You would believe that calling Horror out on his wrongdoings would bring the issue to light to other twitch mods who would do something about it, instead it just looks like they cracked down and went around banning everyone and instead sided with Horror. So much drama over something so stupid. This is gonna hurt some of the streamers like Werster because of the income they made off of twitch.
it would seem like with twitch starting to really enter main stream, they would have wanted to handle this in a professional manner, but it seems like they didn't and the admins don't care.
this is not a good idea for their reputation

He does something that pisses everyone off and starts a huge movement
Instead of correcting himself, he does it even more, specifically to spite his userbase
His conduct is entirely unbefitting of his status. I wish this manchild would stop making gays and furries look bad.
I haven't seen FP this angsty about furries since before ponies took the limelight
Why is this now about furries, this thread is about a retarded twitch mod, take the furry chit-chat out of here.
said mod is a furry, this is inevitable, it's like news stories relating to gun violence steering to gun laws and regulations.
also your bias is showing.
Who the hell runs their Twitter account?
Probably Horror? :v:
Twitch is burning from the inside out. They've gone mainstream far too soon and the site is doomed, it's only a matter of time.

Which is what happens when a site manages to go mainstream but refuses to adopt a professional manner of administrating it

Maybe FP is just nostalgic for the days when furries were just sort of there, and we hated them, and things were simple.
It's just lovely watching people get set off by the SLIGHTEST things. Poor communication kills indeed.
I kind of want a big big twitch streamer, like a LoL one to say something
Can we have a new streaming service, please?
I kind of want a big big twitch streamer, like a LoL one to say something
You know they won't, some of the more prominent streamers (MOBAs especially) are making a decent living off of it. Plus getting to the top pretty much entails brownnosing every admin you can find as often as possible.

StreamPunch.
Fuckin' do it garry. We know you're sitting on over $1mil.

Yeah, but I can dream

You have no idea. It was nice to just be like, "Fuck furries."
Now it's like "Fuck furries, but not gays or trans people oh god im so sorry don't hit me im not a rascist :("
maybe thisll get people to actually make a proper streaming site that's not shit (like livestream) and not force ads on free channels while giving free channel operators really shit support (like twitch).
also the twitch mods are seriously the fucking worst
Ah, furry drama. Just like the good ol' days before ponies took the spotlight.

what's the incentive to spend your hosting and bandwidth letting people use the service for free if there's nothing supplementing it like ads? I hate the interrupting ads that cut segments out in livestream but what would be wrong with something like the popup banner youtube hits you with
Horror's boyfriend left him because of this drama:

I've never seen or experienced any problems with Livestream.
does this mean an emote of the face of an underaged girl who was on the receiving end of serious sexual abuse would be an okay emoticon?
i mean it's completely sfw

the fall of an empire at the hands of a frail heart
Am I the only one who thinks that the emote looks cute?
This makes me want to rename my channel to remove horror just because they seem to be handling this very well.

there's no sexual abuse involved here
it's completely consensual
if this turns in to a seven page debate about how furries are cancer i swear to god facepunch
Not again. The guy with the shotgun was just last week!
The emote, though a worksafe face of his boyfriends Fursona, was apparently named "NightLight" in reference to his dick that glows in the dark

This is literally the most nanny way to lose someone
Over an emoticon on an internet streaming service
I don't believe I have felt such rage towards a single person in a long time.
