In general Japanese people hate foreigners.

I've actually heard that they just hate the loud/rude Westerners, illegal Chinese/Korean immigrants and have no problems with respectful foreigners.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're probably right.
But being rude in Japan is pretty easy if you can't master the language. Their whole culture is centered around respect. Using the right words, having the correct body language, saying the right things in the right situation.
I think you will easily be seen as rude by the general Japanese person if you take a trip to Japan without knowing Japanese very well, or having educated yourself mostly through the use of language in anime.
But, I dunno really.
I just got back from amsterdam, even the hookers there are cheaper than this.

Some places really like their money, though.

I'm sorry do you live in Japan?
There are also "sex hotels" in japan where couples go to fuck. They're actually quite common because space is so tight in japan, it's hard to find a place to fuck. You can pay to have S&M equipment and other things. They're surprisingly sterile, too.

They're called love hotels and they're really nice (I've been to a couple). They're really clean, have big screen TV's, Jacuzzi's, food and all kinds of 'supplies'. It's completely anonymous too, some places you just deal with a machine instead of a clerk. Only thing is that they're 8,000-10,000 yen (90-120$) for a night, expensive.

You're generalizing again. Doesn't matter what base you're stationed at or school you're studying at, I can guarantee you right now it's not representative of all Japan.

You're right, sorry. Irregardless going to clubs and bars being a foreigner nets you a lot of attention (especially in areas where it's uncommon to see foreigners). Almost every Japanese person I met has been courteous, polite and generally very interested .

Oh well yeah, going into clubs and bars is a bit of a different experience than say, a host-stay, or temporary residence while doing business work. For example, I spent time at a Japanese high school, and as is the case in real life, you have tossers who aren't the most polite, and very polite people who have no problem chatting. That experience is not representative of all Japan either, but as an anecdote, I am willing to bet it's not that different both in other schools and in the adult (in this case meaning work) world.

I didn't mean in japan, I meant in general.
Usually when Americans are on a trip to whatever country they can't stop comparing everything to the USA, and it's fucking annoying.

Maybe if you go by stereotypes and less real people.
This sort of shit is because there are tons of virgins in japan with literally no hope of getting laid because the proportions of males to females is whack.

yeah there's a reason for that, buddy.
humans generally view new/foreign things in comparison to familiar things.
"oh man that building reminds me a lot of -american building here-" isn't being disrespectful, it's literally just a human trying to comprehend what they're seeing in a more familiar fashion.
