second, there's a huge difference between an international fast-food restaurant chain and a school cafeteria
I don't know why the US government is actually prioritizing its education and school system, everything about it seems flawed and dumb.
I live in Sweden and in my current school, they serve a wide variety of foods. For example, we had fish pudding, potatoes and melted butter today, and yesterday we had spaghetti bolognese.

There's 700 million people here, 5/6ths of which are lower class/middle class blue collars who were or are manipulated into staying in their current low income position by the education system and the government.

Catfish is practically a delicacy in south Texas. I've yet to hear someone complain about eating it. Seems to be a near favorite among fish eaters. Though it is on the lower spectrum of exotics. Which is fine by me. Eat more Catfish and less Tuna and Salmon.

Catfish is really good with potatoes, to me it's on par with salmon.
I'd eat Catfish, better eating that stuff then getting Magnesium poisoning from Tuna.
of course i'm being very unrealistic you'd have to eat tuna damn near every day for a week to get poisoned from it, but its happened.

Upper dining hall has somewhat real food, someone sneezed in the beans once, only a couple people noticed so the dinner ladies still served them.
Lower dining hall has things like potato waffles, rollover hot dogs, chicken burgers with some slimy chicken, sweet chilli wraps and square pizza. All of it in lower dining is unhealthy, but they sell small bags of about 6 grapes, so that makes it OK I guess.
