I wonder what reaction there would be to reintroducing gladiator games.
I'd watch them as long as there was no coercion or anything, gladiators didn't die thst often
That is unacceptably high. 6 people dying in one year means something changed in the rules that suddenly made the course more dangerous

Not necessarily. We've had five paragliding incidents last week
here in norway. One of them lethal, two of them left the pilots in critical condition and the remainder escaped with lesser injuries. Might just be bad luck, like this case.

Or just dumb chance. You can't make statements like that will very small sample sizes.

It's hardly the worst anyway, 9 people died in 2005.
how is your new and improved OP better, no one expects to die playing tiddlywinks of course there will be an outrage. people go into bike racing knowing full well that every race could be their last, so when racers die the natural response is "RIP he died pursuing his passions and doing what he loved".
next please
This was obviously said in jest but you crack on being contrary.

Nah, they've done quite a bit to improve safety at the races I'm the past few years, same with the NW200, it's just a dangerous sport, not much you can do about it other than put up crash barriers and have paramedics and helicopters ready to go at all times.
