I really liked the lore of Wrath Of The Lich King
For me, it was properly the best of the WoW series
Also, since i only played Warcraft 3, it was like finishing the story when i defeated Arthas
Shit was awesome
$15 a month is a ripoff either way, imo.
If you like MMOs the $15/month is the one of the highest highest price/entertainment ratios
i'm more perplexed how people seem to think "I don't think it's fun therefore it's not fun" is valid logic
I'm not saying it's not fun, I'm saying $15 a month is ridiculous.
$15 a month is a ripoff either way, imo.
And no, before anyone attempts a witty response. I'm not talking about the fact that people can probably afford this. I'm simply stating that $15 a month after this 7 years is a fucking joke.
I spend 3 times that on a week of food, more on gas. Going to the movies costs $20 if you want popcorn and soda. $15 for a months of entertainment is nothing.
Panda's were in Warcraft 3.
Why are they a bad thing in World of Warcraft?

Read again. You are probably able to afford the $15 P/m fee but with the absolutely huge playerbase WoW has and for how old it is, $15 is an unnecessary killing that some might not be able to afford.

if you can't afford the $15/month I don't think MMOs are your priority

I don't understand you point. So because a lot of people play it it should be cheaper? Why? Why would they do that when $15 a month still gets them millions more players?
It being an old game doesn't matter, it's still being updated. Each expansion is practically a game in and of itself.

The difference is, in warcraft 3, VERY FEW, specific characters were Panda's.
In World Of Warcraft, you will now see 1/5 of the players being panda's.

Which is explained by the story of the expansion.

Whatever. I remain adamant on my opinion that $180 a year just to play an MMO is pretty outrageous.
Although I'm not sure what the discount for buying per year is, so that might be alright.

that's 3 AAA titles worth of money :I

to do the same thing for a year?

it's $77.94 for 6 months.

Would you rather pay a slightly larger upfront fee and get to play a game for good instead of paying that much yearly?
I know that's generally not how MMO's work, but it isn't like Blizzard aren't swaming in money either. They have plenty of various other sources of income.
Don't get me wrong, I find WoW to be fun. But the fee is enough to put me off. Same thing happaned with BF3 and many other games.
I felt that paying £40, which is a hefty sum of money for a digital copy if pretty stupid, but whatever, might be fun.
Then the DLC came later. I don't want to pay for premium on top of that if I didn't want to pay for DLC. Same thing in general happened with WoW.

seeing how much time I've put into individual titles VS how much time I've put into WoW, yes
also y'all who are like "hurr durr you just do the same thing repeatedly" you haven't played the game clearly so shut your pie hole
you do dailies and raids

$1260 over 7 years for one game is ridiculous. Especially one that plays it as safe as WoW.
okay so now take that money and make warcraft 4 please, and then act like all of the lore shit that WoW created is non existent
you do dailies and raids
Hey, Borderlands 2 is all about killing people. That's all you ever do. That game isn't terrible at all. Hey, in Starcraft all you do is spawn units and gather resources. How can that possibly be fun? Man, all these laps in Need for Speed are just so boring!
you do dailies and raids
Please get more aware of what you are talking about before criticizing it. Implying the only thing to do in WoW is "dailies and raids" is massively ignorant.

You don't pay 15 dollars a month to play those games.
Also, those are pretty vague topics.
Can you please tell me what else you do?
I dont mean right now at this expansion, like when you're done the expansion.
Also, most of that time is from mapping, on a game that I don't have to pay 15 dollars a month to play.

$15P/m could get me a decent Internet connection. How's that?

TF2 is also F2P.
I have over 2k hours in Minecraft for example, and I only had to pay £5 for that.

and considering I paid $60 for borderlands and only gotten about 40 hours of gameplay out of it while I have gotten hundreds of hours of gameplay out of WoW, the overall cost vs entertainment makes WoW a worthwhile game for me
just because you can't justify $15/month while 10 million other people can doesn't suddenly make monthly subscriptions bad or 10 million people retarded

Not trying to take any sides, but I think there are two different discussions in this thread, one about the price, one about what you actually do in the game. He answered with TF2 against that guy complaining about you doing the same shit over and over in WoW, yet he has done it for over 2000 hours in Tf2.
Anyways I don't find $15 to be bad at all, it was a problem when I had a 20$ alamony, but that was like 5 years ago. $15 is a lot cheaper than almost any other entertainment you can get in a month. Sure it adds up in the long run, but you gotta realize that you've spent a lot of hours over that game too. I wish to know how many total hours played I have in WoW.
Maybe if I had played the same map, with the same classes on the same server that would apply.
Oh, and I paid 15 dollars a month to do so.
Oh, and I can only play once a week.

The arguments cross there imo.
He's trying to argue that he's paying so much to do the same thing over and over (which I do not think what WoW is like myself), and I responded that he doesn't have to pay to do that in TF2

Shit I wish I could trade the $60 I spent on GW2 for MoP and a month of WoW. Now I have to wait till November.
