Usually the phone support tends to be a lot more helpful than the web support, not to mention it is much more prompt.

Well, in the end, you get the game for cheaper when you're not paying an extra 10$. And the developers got payed for one user, why should they get payed for one more when the person decides to sell his game? It's a shitty approach.
