Ehhh i remeber that murder case from way back. Karma sure took it's time getting back to him.
eh the description of that murder seems entirely shaky, I mean, killing two random children in a fit of jealous rage? who the fuck does that? Unless this guy is a documented sociopath, I don't know about the charge against him (anti-depressants =/= sociopath) it's a horrible crime but unless there's some supreme evidence that he did it (why not question the previous caretaker who had an "innapropriate relationship" with the girl?) I would've had more than enough doubt to warrant acquittal the only "evidence" against him seems entirely circumstantial - that the clothes were dumped at his workplace, and that he was just in a call with his girlfriend no dna evidence? in fucking 2000 era? c'mon
it was a fucking MASSIVE case in the UK.

Fuck that was 8 years ago?!
Fuck that was 8 years ago?!
Hasn't time flown by?
I don't feel remotely sorry for him.
People can serve multiple life sentences in prison. This is in place because if, by some miracle, a person were to live longer than a regular life span of ~80-100 years.
No, it's in case they get acquitted of one.
It sucks because you realize that it could have happened to anyone, it just so happened that it was two girls at the wrong place at the wrong time. If his girlfriend was home he'd have probably killed her instead. Or if a guy was walking by at the time maybe this wouldn't have happened.
Sounds like Karma to me.
I somehow knew who the 'man' was even though it said 19 instead of 8 Fucking dick deserved it
Local man! Anyway he's scum. And I'm sure his girlfriend taught me at one point, after she got a change of identity.
:siren: You get 2 or more life sentences for two reasons: to show you've done something really naughty, and to make sure you never get out if some superlawyer makes you lose the first personally, I think he deserves it.
It's actually because the UK Judicial system classes a life sentence as 25 years. Not like the US system where life means life. double life sentence means 50 years minimum.
he's going to get back into prison and just get annihilated. [editline]06:41PM[/editline]
It's actually because the UK Judicial system classes a life sentence as 25 years. I came in here thinking this would be about Glenn Beck.
It's actually because the UK Judicial system classes a life sentence as 25 years. Not like the US system where life means life. double life sentence means 50 years minimum.
...so why don't they just say 25 years in prison?
-snip-
...so why don't they just say 25 years in prison?
I suppose it could date back to near Victorian Era reforms, where unless you were really young, 25 years could have been the rest of your life.
Murdering kids is the lowest of low (not including locking kids up in basements for years), he deserves it.
2003? 19 years ago?
Ah shit, it's time travel... :v:
This adds more weight to the case that death sentence is wrong, these kind of people have awesome time in prison.
I somehow knew who the 'man' was even though it said 19 instead of 8
Somehow me too. Can't say I'm surprised really.
I wonder how his throat got cut in the first place, they should have had him seperate from the rest of the prisoners, quite a few of them would happily kill him given half a chance.
An inmate threw boiling water on him while he was on the health care wing at the high-security Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire in September 2005.
Lol, what an asshole.

Stuff like that applies to bank/school/etc shootings.
Lol, what an asshole.
Good thing his inmate wasn't Rorschach, otherwise it'd be boiling oil instead of water.
I still can't believe that was so long ago. It only feels like a few years ago I remember it on the news. It is pretty messed up what some people will do. I wonder if all that time in jail has made him regret what he did even if it's just a little bit? He still deserves what he got though. As long as they ensure he stays alive, death would be the easy way out. :v:
Karma
Thing is, there shouldn't be weapons in jail... but yes he deserved it.
