Your point?
The same point I've been making since page 1. We don't have the full story, and we won't until the university finally releases a statement or the accuser does.
The same point I've been making since page 1. We don't have the full story, and we won't until the university finally releases a statement or the accuser does.
Ok, thanks for arguing into a circle.
honestly, congress needs to reform title-9 so that schools aren't responsible for investigating if the allegid crime is a felony as long as they file it with the police, thats the only reason why they have to do this is because title 9 currently forces them to, which isn't bad its just schools tend to either do absolutely nothing, or in this case, absolutely fuck up everything
that won't happen easily though, not over the chorus of "1 in 5! why do you want college girls to be raped!?" the entire obama administration has embraced that stupid statistic
Ok, thanks for arguing into a circle.
I've been arguing the same point the entire time, it's not my fault people explosively over-reacted and tried to say I was defending the university.

Sex is hard in 2016
have you people considered that he was expelled for a reason other than rape
have you people considered that he was expelled for a reason other than rape
No, because that's stupid and he's leveling a lawsuit against the university precisely because his suspension over a sexual assault is complete bullshit. Or are you trying to assert that he was suspended for a low GPA and this whole thing is the most convoluted and pointless conspiracy in academic history?

I know the Safe Campus Act was supposed to mitigate this kind of confusion by making it so campuses couldn't enact on these reports unless they were reported to the police, but it seems to be in limbo.
No I'm saying perhaps his sexual relationship with an athlete as a trainer is the issue, not whether or not the sex was consensual
That is only an issue if done on paid time and the university is paying the trainer. However that doesn't mean sexual assault occurred.
That is only an issue if done on paid time and the university is paying the trainer. However that doesn't mean sexual assault occurred.
The expulsion was for sexual misconduct, not sexual assault.

Seems completely fucking draconian doesn't it? Additionally if it was true sexual misconduct then was she reprimanded? I don't recall reading about Jane Doe being reprimanded for her part, on the contrary it seems like she was treated as an innocent flower by the university.
On page 2 I thought about the same semantics and then posted a quote of title ix which stated what sexual misconduct stood for in this context. It is sexual harassment, assault, rape, stalking etc. Kinda a blanket term. So no, I thought about the same thing but it turns out it wasnt true.
Except that my proposed scenario likely falls under sexual harassment.
I dont get how this is "Harassment" Misconduct in traditional sense I had thought.
In the same way that fucking your coworker can be seen as sexual harassment.
In the same way that fucking your coworker can be seen as sexual harassment.
I'm lost, can you explain how 2 consenting adults fucking is sexual harassment
The same way passive aggressive people like to pass time on the internet before going out into the world and acquiescing to everything they're told to do. It's literally an imposed artificial standard that is utterly meaningless except when a holier then thou douchebag chooses to wield it as a weapon "for the greater good". *note: the greater good will be determined at a later date, all definitions are completely made up and only to be ascribed at the time of passive agressive judgement, void where prohibited, read the fine print before signing your name cause that's where we're really going to totally fuck you over
sorry if I am being dumb but I am really really lost
Don't worry, I've felt exactly this way about the entire thread.
