In truth, most lesbians are more manly than most gays.
nobody wants a pride month, they only exist as an attempt to curb prejudice. that's why you don't have a straight white history month. you don't need one. you don't need pride in something you have no control of, that's arrogance and it's used by the lazy who have done nothing to be proud of.
pride months are for minorities to combat prejudice. nothing more.

Now, we do not truly know what causes homosexuality, but most religious people are in recognition that it is not something that should be endorsed and encouraged. To engage in those types of acts are to go against his supreme power, but it is not a sin to simply be a homosexual. That is why I believe we must not have such a day, and I hope that in the future we may have enough knowledge to find out what causes homosexuality, and how to fix it.
So I suggest to all of you to read up more on your enemies, to find out what our beliefs truly are. God loves all people, but he condemns those that directly go against his instructions and his guidance. It has also been proven, in some cases, that people that have accepted God and the Holy Spirit within their lives have had much of their problems eradicated. Even homosexuality.[/QUOTE]

Then why do we bother with pride whatevers? Why do we keep focusing on the differences among people, rather than the things that bring us together? I would settle for a day or week or something every year where we celebrate how diverse humans can be... but only if we first celebrate our common heritage.

Also I'm not really sure what's stopping gays from becoming "functioning members of society". I doubt what gender you prefer sexually has much bearing on your capability as a scientist, a musician, a writer, a programmer, etc... like how the colour of your skin makes little difference on that either.

Some country actually have lesbian sex legalized, but not gay sex between men. Mostly in Africa.

Because, as I've said before, gays have been insulted, attacked, and killed for it. The pride events are a way of standing up and saying "Fuck you, discriminators. I'm gay and you can fuck off if you don't like it."
