No, it actually enhances both my logical and rational thought, though you would know nothing about this. You function within the limited mind-frame of an atheist, a mind that is focused on the immediate material goals and has absolutely no conception of faith. This effectively disables you, instead of being filled with the Holy Spirit (another entity you do not know about), you are simply an animal looking to advance your career, your lusty desires, and your never-ending quest to live the life. A faithful person knows that true realization of life exists not within this world, but in the next one; he knows that it is of the utmost importance to live a virtuous life in this world to attain the coveted position in heaven. Sadly, you are blind to this; sadly, you live a life of sin where you constantly deny that which is true and live a worthless life. But alas, all is not lost. You have plenty of time to realize the true path, and may God help you follow it.
Fool. The irony of this statement is lost on your inferior mind. Secular thinkers can see far, far further than religious thinkers can, and you're no thinker. Stop pretending to be one.
Well, let's go over this entity called the "Holy Spirit". It is part of the divine Trinity: God, Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. Those that are faithful are blessed and filled with the Holy Spirit, which acts as a guiding force in life. It guides people to do the right thing, it helps people discern from right and wrong, and it sometimes manifests itself in miracles. God has different plans for everybody, and he may even relieve some faithful people of their problems (diseases, disabilities...homosexuality). This is something that you yourself must go and witness, for I do not have the power to prove something of this grand nature over the internet.
You must be a troll. Nobody could be this fucking stupid.

Did you just compare diseases and disabilities to homosexuality?
Also I find it hard to believe that praying to god will cure yourself of these problems
Straight people got their own 11 months. But I'm sure there can be a furry pride month, if you really need it.
It needs to be "flaunted" because a lot of people still aren't aware of homosexuality, and how common it is within society.
If people are aware of their excistence and how common they are, the chance of acceptance is higher. It's easier to accept something you know excists and wont go away.
Obviously you paid no attention to what I said. I think its stupid and ridiculous to dedicate an entire month to a sexual orientation or a race. I don't ask for my own month nor do I want my own month.
Sadly this is just going to attract deeply religious homophobes who are unable to accept the fact that they are people too and have rights.
I've spent far too long in Churches. I was christian once. All I saw was rhetoric and hate. If something cannot be supported by evidence or proven, it does not exist.
I do not know what church you were visiting, but my church is one that is filled with love and hope. It is a place where people can go to heighten their closeness to God, and it is a place to reach an ever increasing level of faith. Maybe you went to the Catholic church; they are fairly out of touch with their faith.

No amount of prayer, sadly, will ever cure you of your stupidity.

If your church is filled with love and hope, why are you, who claim to beyond fault, an advocate of hatred and bigotry?

Because for some reason he believes that being gay is a disease that can be cured with holy lights and bedtime stories.
I'm convinced that deepneau is just a massive troll. He joined this month, he's got a cross avatar for christ's sake.

People like him, who use religion as a justification for hate, are less than human, and an insult to humanity's potential for greatness.
Asexuals are ignored... As usual.
Asexuality isn't necessarily a sexual orientation so much as it is a complete lack of sex drive, or disinterest in sex. Right?
The only way to anti-troll him is to just reply with his posts with pictures of mostly-naked gay men posing
It's not like anybody has to recognize the declaration. Ta-da. Problem solved.

I am not an advocate of hatred and bigotry. You constantly twist my words and make me out to be someone who I am not. It is your hatred against the faithful that blinds your judgment, blinds you to what I have to say. I never said that I hate homosexuals, I never said that we must hurt them or kill them or anything. God does not hate them, he loves everybody the same. The fact of the matter is that homosexual activities are a sin, there is no way around that. Simply being a homosexual is not a problem. Faithful homosexuals have a hard time within the church due to that, because they have to deal with constant temptation to do the sinful act. As I said before, God has a plan for all of us, and if it is his will for some to become celibate, than so be it. But he may also show mercy and allow some homosexuals the chance to live a normal life within a normal family structure, through His divine intervention.

I've seen a whole congregation turn into seeming zombies because of this presence of the holy ghost. Even been a part of it before. And yes, it's wonderful to lay down yourself, your sexuality, your desires and dreams for a greater power. It's a wonderful feeling to lay down all of your sin on the alter and feel like you've purified yourself for His glory.
In the end, people go back to their normal way of life, and so did I. Nothing really changed; the placebo effect wears off. In the end, after church is over, there's still something inside me that just wants the companionship of another man. I tried everything to get rid of that. I waited for Jesus to help me, I wanted for it to grow out of it. I tried dating girls, I went to a priest and had demons cast out of me, I even considered castration to get rid of my sexual feelings. Finally I asked myself "what the fuck does it matter? What harm am I doing?" In the end, I found it's not just about sex, lust, and sinful desire, it's about who I want to love. I am not capable of loving a woman like I am a man, I tried. I broke her heart because I could not love her back like she loved me.
A god of love wants me to do this?

That would hardly do anything for LGBT's image.

You call homosexuality a disease, ignoring scientific evidence that proves that it is not. You call their lifestyles "filthy" and call homosexuality "Truly horrible."
You are scum. If there really is a GOD, I'd be willing to bet my soul that you're going to burn in hell.

Please, please. Just stop replying to this troll.
If you really can't accept he's a troll, just think of how shit you think his opinion is, and take note how it's an opinion not even worth responding to. It's just clogging up the thread with attempts of having a normal discussion with him.
You need further proof, other than the time we've all wasted responding to this?
Verdict: Ban Video Games- Especially for the Younger Generation
1. How old are you?
24
2. In what country are you currently living in?
United States
3. How often do you play games with graphic violence?
Stopped years ago.
4. Do you know anyone who has been negatively affected by violent video games?
Plenty of people, being psychologist working at a small middle school in my area has exposed me to children who are being heavily influenced by that which they see/play. Everyday I see children fighting, and emulating the games they play in real life. Countless times have I consulted with a child who started a fight over a game, or who just wanted to see if they could do what they did in video games. Countless times have I seen a child severely hurt just because the attacker was a damn kid who wanted to emulate a GTA game.
5. To what degree do you think people can be negatively affected by violent video games?
As I have mentioned before, to a very large degree. Younger people are more susceptible, but all ages can be desensitized by games with violence and it is not a good outcome.
6. What is your opinion on video game bans?
They are necessary, as they are breeding a whole new generation of kids that are plagued by desensitization and stronger aggressive urges. We need to have kind human beings in our society, not ones that want to be like Niko or CJ.

There is no more to argue about, you are obviously blinded by your ego and your misrepresentation of the world. Listen here, what you propose would lead to the downfall of society, which is why it will never happen. And it would be wise to learn to be a bit more courteous to people, most of your posts to me have been riddled with personal attacks. Sorry, but that is not how you argue in the real world, it helps neither your argument nor my view of your maturity.
Sure, straight people need a pride month because in the 21st century, being straight carries a bad stigma and makes you targeted by retards and hate groups, right?
Doesn't exist.
Although I can recommend the OUT campaign.
Where is my Atheist pride month?
Maybe if we implemented both of these months in at the same time, we could troll religious fanatics to the point where they actually accept people.
What will we dedicate the other 9 months too?
I like how we have Gay Pride month, Black History Month, Spanish months, months honuring every single person, but we have no Straight Pride months and no White History months.
It's biased and unfair.

It's because blacks, hispanics, and gays have been treated very, very badly by straight white people.
Hahaha, bisexual pride. That's a good one. I'd love to see a bisexual pride march.
"We're bisexual. Yay."
Yes! Perfect, I hope we're getting closer to equal rights for everyone.
Hahaha, bisexual pride. That's a good one. I'd love to see a bisexual pride march.

What? Do you really not understand how there are each months for minorities?
White people are not minorities in the areas these months are celebrated. "<minority> months" are to raise awareness and/or acceptance of said minority.
White, straight males don't need this.
I'm indifferent and I don't care!
Those are the same thing but we don't give a shit so whatever!
