Pokespots and Gyms are take from only the most prominent ingress portals. I guess this is why they've stopped accepting ingress portal submissions recently, because they need to review all existing portals and pick them for PGo. But this becomes an issue because niantic themselves once told me in a g+ post that the chances of portal approval are lower in places of lower portal density. Which means that if you live in a small town you could maybe have only 2-3 ingress portal and 50+ rejected potentials, and out of those only a single portal becomes a Pokespot.

They need to st up a way to submit locations for PokéStops just like they did for Ingress, it's all fine and well that they took portals from Ingress to populate Pokémon Go at the start, but they should seperate the two now and let people submit stops for pokémon go, lots of places are way too densily packed with stops and other places like my city have absolutely fuck all... Without user submissions I don't see that changing either, which means it's pretty much impossible for me to play the game in my own city.
So when can I expect this to release in Sweden? Seeing as even Miitomo isn't released yet, I have a feeling this won't either. Thanks Nintendo, love you
Get the apk from apkmirror, enjoy your game. But the worldwide release is supposed to be "in a few days" apparently.
I don't think they ever intend it to be a full pokemon game.
[sp]most likely fake[/sp]

Cincinnati Zoo Gorillas Might Protest After The Murder Of Harambe #Gorillalivesmatter
You don't say?
Even if its true its you can't deny the fact that you need to be very aware of your surroundings when playing a game like this, the game even specifically tell people to be constantly aware of your surrounding. Quite a lot of people have been mugged playing ingress too, hell, accidental deaths even.
Well shit, SlimKat doesn't work with the Fire Phone's camera.
how do you even support something that uses a map of the earth also holy shit this eats battery
I don't think they ever intend it to be a full pokemon game.
Regardless, they need more than just collecting pokemon. Without trading, I don't even get what the point is currently.
how do you even support something that uses a map of the earth also holy shit this eats battery
Niantic made Ingress and they use a lot of the data from that game in Pokemon Go, so in the end it was basically just a reskin really.
I just started, what the hell is a pokestop?
I just started, what the hell is a pokestop?
If you get near it and click it it gives you items.
I started laughing so hard when I realized the nearest pokemon gym is at my local cemetery.
Still waiting
Man I really want a torchic and cyndaquil. Sucks they don't even have all the originals
even thought I live in a fairly populated area, pokespots are pretty hard to find. there is one at the local church, but churchgoers would think I was insane if I was walking around the lot lookin' for pokemon. also apparently they didn't map out the pond near my street, so for me to get one of the pokemon I'd have to dive for it :v:
there's 2 fountains near me that act as pokespots luckily. both are just across the street so i got lucky.
So how long until someone get's killed for this and it all get's shut down?
So how long until someone get's killed for this and it all get's shut down?
I don't think someone getting killed while playing an app is enough to shut the app down.
I started laughing so hard when I realized the nearest pokemon gym is at my local cemetery.
Not that unusual. Just gonna have to fight ghost Pokemon. [editline]7th July 2016[/editline] Gen V needs to be added soon. I need Leavanny and Galvantula. But Haunter is Gen I and he is the only one I can't do without.
Is it in canada? Just checked. N-Nope... Bummer.
I started laughing so hard when I realized the nearest pokemon gym is at my local cemetery.
Someone submitted the fence at my friend's house as an ingress portal. It got accepted and now its a gym.
So how long until someone get's killed for this and it all get's shut down?
If people can use Snapchat while driving and kill other people with no repercussions, this will be just fine
It is really barebones as of right now. No way to battle anyone besides at gyms. No way to add anyone. Can't trade. You don't see other trainers on your map.
Would that be safe? For people to see precisely where other trainers are located? This is a game that is targeted towards youth, after all. Especially if they were to add trading - I can see people becoming targets of Pokemon robberies.

this game is unbelievably boring it could be great with trading and actual battles, but right now it's literally just "walk here, turn on camera, swipe up, good job"
Since I live in a heavily populated area, and my School is a gym, I'm actually liking this so far.
Catching the bus into the city makes a great way to collect pokeballs and catch pokemon
this game is unbelievably boring it could be great with trading and actual battles, but right now it's literally just "walk here, turn on camera, swipe up, good job"
It's basic as fuck, but you know what? It gets me walking outside. It's so fucking basic and mindless, but it's making me exercise. I've walked 4 miles today just because of this game. I cannot complain one bit.
Can't wait for work Monday - might go for a walk around the hospital at lunch and see if there's anything notable. I'd drop dead if there was a Chansey.
