Enraged millionaire CEO allegedly breaks waiter’s finger
Oh hey look I guess he broke that guy's fingers because he makes so much money, right?
I mean, what other reason could there be? You don't see any normal people acting violent, must be this guy's money making him an asshole. People who make a lot of money are always assholes.
As a matter of fact yes. It is a pretty well known fact that money can't make you happy. I have some family members who I do not speak to anymore because they think they are too good for me. And they are not happy and the money makes them more miserable. Normal people fight over women, personal items, etc. This asshole snapped his finger because his "expectations weren't met." How often do you see some normal every day John Doe snapping a mans finger because his soda was flat?
Its more about how the violence was over something so stupid. Someone like a CEO should not have such a temper since he has control of probably thousands of jobs.
Yeah maybe, but people snap all the time, I don't see how his job has any relevance, except that it gives all the FPers something to circle-wank to.
You go to a store, and you see the stressed out soccer mom berating the employee of a store. She's not a millionaire, but she is still flipping shit in public.

Yes because I quoted every rich individual in the world.
Since when is it a "well-known fact" that money CANNOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, make you happy?
Since when is it a "well-known fact" that money CANNOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, make you happy?
Oh I don't know look at the many rich celebrities who commit suicide or resort to drugs because they can't handle their fame, obviously money didn't make them happy. Same goes for high stress jobs like this man has.
Oh I don't know look at the many rich celebrities who commit suicide or resort to drugs because they can't handle their fame, obviously money didn't make them happy. Same goes for high stress jobs like this man has.
More rich people don't commit suicide than do.

What many rich celebrities can't handle their fame?
Somehow you seem so certain this guy is an asshole because of his wealth, and not POSSIBLY because of a bad marriage, personal issues, etc.

I never said he did it because of his wealth I am on the argument that money can't make you happy.
Why would his job position dictate what kind of person he should be? If he's an asshole, he'll continue to be an asshole regardless of his income. Stop falling for the sensationalism.
He isn't an asshole because he's a CEO but there's a decent chance that he's a CEO because he's an asshole

It's not universal though, money can make you happy.
It's not universal though, money can make you happy.
I know, I am not trying to use it in a universal way. Wealth can make you very happy. But if you ask me it is bitter sweet.
Hahahaha anyone else immediately reminded of this scene?

I would figure that has more to do with the constant and ever present intrusion and disruption of their lives by countless paparazzi and the public, to the point where they find it impossible to have what could even resemble a "normal life" with "normal friends", and are stuck with all the resources in the world but nowhere to turn while every action, every subliminal gesture is judged, ridiculed, and scrutinized by unethical and ruthless media networks and turned into the latest gossip among the populace.
Or maybe that.
He isn't an asshole because he's a CEO but there's a decent chance that he's a CEO because he's an asshole
But when did assholes have an increased tendency to become CEOs?
Why would his job position dictate what kind of person he should be? If he's an asshole, he'll continue to be an asshole regardless of his income. Stop falling for the sensationalism.
CEOs are statistically more likely to be assholes
You can read up on that in IPIO OMA Journal, Vol 14, No 2, pages 253-265

True, but we only have small details about this man. He is obviously the CEO of a big company and a job like that can carry some similarities from your normal everyday fame.

hi my name is mr speculation
my evidence for my napkin based theories lies in anecdotes about family members and generalizations
i'm about as qualified as a rock though i act as though my harebrained ideas are as solid as one
The incident hasn’t shocked many who know Castle, a personal friend and frequent Palm Beach host of U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch. Leverage buyout king Castle is known on The Island as an abrasive character who often snaps at the help, which in his case includes half a dozen servants, chauffeurs and yacht captain.
It didn't take you long to go from knowing "small details about this man" to:
Scum of the earth. I hate people who let money get to their head and act like they are first priority in the world.
Ok so a man who will break someones finger for some bullshit reason is a hero?
Ok so a man who will break someones finger for some bullshit reason is a hero?
No, but not everyone in the world is a hero or a villain. Some people are simply that. People.
Ok so a man who will break someones finger for some bullshit reason is a hero?
No, he's an asshole, with or without his CEO status.
No, he's an asshole, with or without his CEO status.
Exactly, scum of the earth.
When Og noticed that Gug's wheel carving business was earning more meat ever since he started using slave labour
Oh hey look I guess he broke that guy's fingers because he makes so much money, right?
I mean, what other reason could there be? You don't see any normal people acting violent, must be this guy's money making him an asshole. People who make a lot of money are always assholes.
Gee, I suuuuurrree hate people who make more money than me.
You're an idiot, he got mad over something so trivial, and attacked someone. He's a rich, stuck up douchebag.
You're an idiot, he got mad over something so trivial, and attacked someone. He's a rich, stuck up douchebag.
But the fact that he's rich is irrelevant. You might as well say he's a rich, white, old, bald(ing), american, stuck up douchebag.
Exactly, scum of the earth.
And then you had to add in a comment about money going to his head. Money has nothing to do with it. From jaykray's link, you can read how this isn't the first time he's done this. Ignore his position and his wealth, and focus on his actions. He'd be an asshole even if he was working a minimum-wage job.

Hi my name is Mr. Sesquipedalian
I like to use big words so I can sound smarter when bashing others so maybe somebody will think I am cool. Maybe some day I can win the spelling bee.
speculation is a big word?

What? He didn't even use any extravagant words.
