Ehj here in the u.s. we have two problems, 1) our trash is privately run 2) uber crazy nutjobs that want to remove every protection of law and be able to dump toxic sludge in children's parks
I think that is points to a larger problem in America in general: damn near fucking everything is privately run to some degree. Garbage, healthcare, and most universities are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. None of those things should be privately run because companies never have the best interest of the consumer in mind, yet screaming Libertarian assholes try and defend it when this ultra-capitalist system is showing its failure compared to the mixed economies of Europe. We have the evidence that Europe is much better off economically than the US and its citizens are better educated and better provided for, but there is still so much opposition because of ignorance. Many people believe Europe practices Socialism; it doesn't. Europe is a mixed economy with different markets in the hands of private owners or the public sector (at least for most European countries). But because "dem commies", trying to support a system like this gets you labelled a communist even though the Cold War is over and old Joe McCarthy is dead.
Actually there are countries that do it just as good or even better. Some actually RECYCLE more than Sweden does. [[Thumb]https://d28wbuch0jlv7v.cloudfront.net/images/infografik/normal/chartoftheday_1312_Recycling_Remains_a_Rarity_in_Eastern_Europe_b.jpg[/thumb]
so is romania just like a massive wasteland of trash or what.

Since when is incineration recycling? I don't expect there to be a huge difference between 2011 and 2014
