While the method of transmission for this virus is limited(blood or short range sneezes) the fact that the incubation period is 2-21 days, with most people developing symptoms more than 2 days after exposure. It still isn't something to take lightly.

If someone is showing early symptoms but still feels ok enough to go out, sneezing can still spread infected particles.
Please check your facts for the sake of others. The CDC says that the potential for spreading the virus through sneezing is incredibly unlikely.
He also went bowling so expect a few more people to strike out.
ebowla

Even while showing early symptoms? I thought it was highly contagious even at that stage
It's kinda scary to think that all it takes is one idiot coughing his way through a crowded sidewalk.
yes because he fucking clearly was coughing in the face of everyone he saw
because that's what sick people do
yep

the first thing I do when I get sick with dysentery is I take a nice big hot liquid shit in my hand and fling it everywhere
same with a stuffed nose, I just blow it RIGHT OVER everyone

Sneezing isn't even a symptom of Ebola.
I wonder if I'll get to point this out more times in this thread.
Did he vomit on the bowling balls? Did he get blood on them?
Because if the answer is no, then everyone is fine.
Sweat also transmits the disease, and there's a good chance he was at least somewhat sweaty

...I never said sneezing was a symptom, don't put words in my mouth,

You're making a thing out of a non-thing by mentioning it.
The chance that someone will both get Ebola and a disease that makes you sneeze and at the same time actually manage to sneeze a large enough particle of body fluid on someones mucous membrane without noticing symptoms and getting checked first (especially when we're talking about people who know they are at risk) is ridiculously small. You're better off worrying about pretty much anything else that could kill you.

Ebola isn't highly contagious at any stage. You need a decent (read: not-particle sized) amount of bodily fluid to come into contact with an opening in your body, like your eyes, mouth, any open wounds, etc.
That happens all the time in West Africa, where people are throwing up and bleeding all over the place (not literally, of course). So in West Africa you could call it highly contagious. In the only other case in America, one man had it and spread it to two other people who were working in close proximity to him in his most contagious stages. The only two cases of Ebola that didn't come from West Africa are from nurses who touched this patient much more than you touch strangers on the street.
