I watched ep2 last night, it wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting. They have tried sticking to the same format as closely as possible.
Didn't do it for me. Call me an elitist asshole but I can't stand not having Clarkson, Hammond, and May on there, it isn't the same.

I prefer the original, I was just expecting much worse from the amount of negative media coverage.
I like Matt LeBlanc. I think he could have fitted in with the original trio, but I absolutely hate Chris Evans. Stop trying to act like Jeremy..

Yeah, LeBlanc is pretty chill, but it seems like he's just really irritated by Evans all the time.
I honestly think they will cancel Top Gear, will notice the success of The Grand Tour and they'll try and persuade the original team back.

I reckon Matt would have been perfect as someone to send off on his own to do challenges, etc. Kind of like side content. It would not surprise me if they do keep him if they somehow manage to get the old team back.
James' summation of the drink is a pretty good example of peoples reaction to the new Top Gear :v:.
"It's the bloody awful!"
The celebrity-plugging-something segment is also just outright worse than it was before.
