In Finland, probably in other similar countries too, cops would NEVER shoot a knife wielding suspect to death even if he was drunk/reckless against the cops.
Interesting. I'd imagine if you knife wielding suspects were actually willing to hurt people that would be a big problem on your hands. Ever hear of the 21 foot rule?
It's sad how in the US suspects get killed so much more easily. This one was armed with a gun though so it's a bit different. In Finland, probably in other similar countries too, cops would NEVER shoot a knife wielding suspect to death even if he was drunk/reckless against the cops.
But then what happens when tragedy strikes and one of the officers does end up getting stabbed to death?

Ever hear of the 21 foot rule?
Yeah yeah I've heard all about it. The cops basically have the same mentality against all suspects that have ANY type of weapon on them. It depends on the suspects individually how dangerous they are with their weapon. Also, trying to attack cops will only get you into bigger problems.
It's sad how in the US suspects get killed so much more easily.
In Rio, 1 out of every 20 arrests ends in the death of the suspect.

Because 1-2 shots doesn't bring a person down. Really they might as well have assault rifles.
THEY SHOULD HAVE SHOT THE GUN WITH A TAZER AFTER ASKING HIM TO POLITELY PUT THE GUN DOWN
They should have let him shoot them, and make sure they don't get their blood all over the ground, or else he may of slipped while running away! Sarcasm aside, it's sad that he had to die, but he brought it on himself.

Better safe then sorry
I find it sad that the police force in Finland is to timid to do their job correctly and stop others from getting seriously hurt/killed.
I find it sad that the police force in America is often too trigger happy which often results in innocent people being killed.
Different video that's not slow-mo and slightly better quality.
Thank you. Much better quality than the vid in OP.
That poor guy filling up his car must've been terrified.
Dumb as this guy was and as justified as the shooting might have been (I agree with the people that think he was committing suicide by cop), I'm still not sure I want to watch a video that depicts someone actually being killed. Not by choice anyway.
I find it sad that the police force in America is often too trigger happy which often results in innocent people being killed.
That really doesn't happen as often as you think. Do people in Europe think that in America you can't walk out of your house without getting riddled with bullets because you stumbled into a cop shootout or what? I cried. For that poor car.
I find it sad that the police force in Finland is to timid to do their job correctly and stop others from getting seriously hurt/killed.
It's because Finland is a lot smaller country than the U.S so there's not as much guns, crime and crazies around. So it's not sad how it is in Finland, you can't say that. The police here are well armed for all kinda situations. And don't you see that it depends on the suspects how dangerous they are with their weapon? Isn't it the cop's job to identity and take into consideration such.. characteristics and shit? Especially when you point a gun at the suspect?
Liquid petrol doesn't ignite at all. The fumes are what ignites. It can feed a fire, but it can't start a fire.
I didn't know this. What about thin layers of it on the ground? We used to make fire rings on the ground as kids using petrol. For the record I also wasn't trying to say it would ignite the whole petrol station and it would explode, I just thought that there was a risk of fire.

Liquid gasoline cannot.
Can we just talk about that poor guy that was just filling up his car when this shit happened i'd be terrified if i were in his position
Vapor can ignite. Liquid gasoline cannot.
I'd ask if the muzzle flash could ignite the vapor, but that'd be silly because the vapor wouldn't be concentrated enough in the air for such a thing to happen.
Towards the end of the video you can see a white sedan across the lot. It seems like it was in the direct line of fire through the suspects car. Does anyone know what happened to the people in that car?
