From what I've heard it was pretty retarded, sometimes to a degree that would piss people off, but it managed to be less retarded and less boring than a lot of the other crap that was made for its demographic.
One of the most retarded things was reviving pretty much every dead character at a certain point in the story. I didn't follow it but I heard enough of it. I just thought: What the fuck? Reviving dead characters? Didn't the author learn anything from Akira Toriyama's mistakes?
What's the odds of this being any good or at-least not embarrassing?
I'm not sure this will ever get off the ground. Ghost in the Shell is happening but there's a pretty bad track record for anime adaptations in hollywood. Like, they tried to get a remake of Akira run by Leonardo DiCaprio and a Cowboy Bebop adaptation from Keanu Reeves and neither of those panned out.
tbh is naruto even that bad in reality? like, I know its a lot of cheesy bull shit, but even then, is that a BAD thing?
No.
One of the most retarded things was reviving pretty much every dead character at a certain point in the story. They did, however, basically have a big battle once and revived dead people at the end of that battle, which was pretty terrible, but it was only the people that died in that particular battle. Oh, they also revived basically everyone as zombies at one point, but they didn't return to a state of living after it was over. They just went back to being dead.

I don't follow the series, so I didn't know that.
i wonder if the cast will be entirely/predominantly white lmao
Oh god, if it is tumblr is going to shit a brick
[t]http://i.imgur.com/fmKxB24.jpg[/t] Hey guys! It's me, Naruto Uzumaki of the Japanese Hidden Leaf Village (California)!
And there won't be a single Japanese person in the movie except for maybe Ken Watanabe.
tbh is naruto even that bad in reality? like, I know its a lot of cheesy bull shit, but even then, is that a BAD thing?
Naruto is pretty terrible, but it has a lot to do with executive meddling more than anything. Sasuke, the edgelord supreme of the show, wasn't even in the manga until the publishers told the writer to add a dark angsty character, which completely fucked the character dynamics of the story.
Do Japan and the United States even exist in the Naruto world? I thought it was some fantasy world where ninjas were absolutely everywhere.
american live-action adaptations of anime never turn out to be good :vomit:
I have hope for Del Toro's adaptation of Monster (if it ever sees the light of day)
Not a fan of Naruto, but it seems like it'd be easier to make into a live action film then say dragon ball or fullmetal alchemist.
I can't wait to see ninja jumps that are just then jumping then cutting in special effects of them whooshing off.
Not a fan of Naruto, but it seems like it'd be easier to make into a live action film then say dragon ball or fullmetal alchemist.
It's also completely unnecessary - it already has an anime series, and animes 99% of the time don't work in live action.
So either they gonna make Naruto black, or CGI him running because the only persons pulling that running with the hands backwards are black.
Do Japan and the United States even exist in the Naruto world? It's one of those mangas where the creator starts out with a good idea, but have no idea what the ending will be or how it will get there. Almost everything is made up as the story goes. In general, I liked Naruto when the story focused on teamwork instead of 1 on 1 fights. Which is not far into the story sadly...
Wait, "Kazekage" of the village hidden in the "mist"? The Kazekage is the leader of the village hidden in the SAND. The leader of the mist village is the Mizukage. There's no way that plot synopsis is legit. It can't be...
complaining about shitposts should be bannable tbh
Was this supposed to be ironic
Was this supposed to be ironic
Many people on Facepunch are hating on anime for some reason and anyone who likes it, so he was probably being serious. Message to those people, let others enjoy what they want and stop being assholes.
What they ran out of budget and can't do another proper Naruto Movie with StudioJewrrot? So they resort to this, well no thanks I fully expect this to be trash.
$20 the Japanese could pull off a live action movie, but that's because their film making and acting style is WAY different and I'm not saying it's better than here, but they can crank something out that isn't immediately a farce. Think Bollywood but with 15% of a more serious attempt put into the budget.
Wasn't there a Japanese Live-Action Adaption of Naruto that was being developed a year or so ago? If the movie went through and was fully developed, it should be around the internet, somewhere.

I'll watch it if they match that fight scene with Pain.
tbh is naruto even that bad in reality? like, I know its a lot of cheesy bull shit, but even then, is that a BAD thing?
Well it has two "parts" to it, and years ago when the first part was young it was decent. Afaik the author was getting rushed in the second part by his editor and it went downhill really fast. It was cheesy but wasn't bad at the start.
I remember watching the anime as a kid. It was pretty good but a simple fight could last three or four episodes as characters would reveal their back stories in their minds while glaring angrily at eachother.
anime was a mistake (User was banned for this post ("Why reply?" - Bradyns))
Why reply? why does anyone reply, jesus christ the mods on this website have insane standards. Im probably getting banned for this comment, but I dont really care anymore since I've seen so many people banned for totally ambigous reasons that I've almost gotten a distaste for contributing to the forum. Also, i can still read stuff without being logged in so whatever. U mods are crazy, relax a bit will you! (User was banned for this post ("Offtopic" - Craptasket))
