If it's the latter, she shouldn't be allowed to reproduce to protect the gene pool from contamination.
She's actually acting like a genius compared to some people in court I've seen.
Stupid of him, this won't make her a better person. Worse if anything.
Definitely. With that criminal history, inherited behavior from inmates, and lack of money, would you think that she would waste time getting rejected from legal jobs? She'll just resort to criminal activity. It's disappointing that the judge would seek his own interests instead of others.
Lmao all the people rating dumb and disagree First of all your opinion is wrong, she deserved it When you are in court the last thing you want to do is disrespect the judge, that is serious shit You can get into a lot of trouble for doing dumb stuff like that in court and she got what she deserved
Both parties were being rediculous.

If you read between the lines, you'll see people are implying that a judge shouldn't be given respect simply for being a judge. He was every bit as disrespectful as she was, and that is totally unbecoming of his position and responsibilities. Doubling her bail and giving her 30 days of jail time was wildly unnecessary and he deserved the response he got.
Not only is it a good post, but Reddit actually upvoted it to the very top What the hell is going on
holy fuck it's zeke, i haven't seen you in years Well anyways, I'm not surprised something like this happened considering the state of our society [editline]8th February 2013[/editline] It's very bothersome how drugged up she is
I went skating after eating a xanax one time, I think it made me forget ollies for half a week would do again. Didn't feel like flipping anyone off though.
I happened to trip and stretch alot when I took xanax.
Yeah good job, 30 days in jail and 10k for some xanax what bullshit
augh the way she poses her hands to look "Cute"
What's with people supporting the judge and calling her a "smug bitch"? Ignoring for a moment she's going to jail for possession of xanax which is a joke in it of itself, he was being cocky and smarmy and condescending, then raised her bail 5000 just for saying adios? That dude shouldn't be a judge and that girl shouldn't be in jail.
Obviously
Lmao all the people rating dumb and disagree
First of all your opinion is wrong, she deserved it
When you are in court the last thing you want to do is disrespect the judge, that is serious shit You can get into a lot of trouble for doing dumb stuff like that in court and she got what she deserved
ahh yes the perfect way to look like a dumb ass. Say "YOUR OPINION IS WRONG" over something subjective.
Maybe I'm just crazy but I don't think flipping off a judge is worth a $5000 increase in bond, nor do I consider 30 days in jail a fitting punishment for insulting a judge.
The legal system should be the most honorary of professions and a court should be a place of high esteem. Contempt of court has been around for hundreds of years. In my opinion, if you break the rules, you deserve the consequences. She flipped the judge off in court; she was in contempt of court.
she looks like she'd be a total freak in the sack
First of all your opinion is wrong
You already completely and totally ruined your argument.
Yeah, I just realized this took place in my country (Miami-Dade).
Pretty obvious it's Dade, just by the accents, that or Broward.
Responded to in bold, my opinion after working at a correctional facility. Easy for lawyers to say all the stuff they do, specially when they don't have to work in the facilities.
I think I'll take the actual lawyer's opinions over yours. If you have to punish her for doing a dumb thing, fine, do community service or something. Arbitrarily raising bail to a number you know the defendant can't pay is irresponsible on the judge's part.
My two cents: It was a bit of a dick move to not appoint her a public defender, when he clearly had no thought that she had anything of "worth" she could sell for a lawyer. With that said, it was an error on her side as well - reacting the way she did was clearly not going to earn her anything - on appeal that bond got reduced to $5,000 as it is. She shouldn't have tried for contempt of court, she'd have been a lot better off.

Both human beings need to get it together. [editline]9th February 2013[/editline] Saying adios is not disrespectful. the judge was clearly not well-spoken.
