What most people fail to realize about most these questionable things from the bible are from the old testament. From reading earlier posts, the majority of facepunchers believe just by reading a few books from the bible, that they know everything about it. The death of Jesus bonded Christians to the new testament, which is why you don't see modern Christians doing the things outlined in the old testament.

But the Old Testament was the only interesting part of the bible, cities got destroyed, people were killed, people were turned into pillars of salt and stuff, it was pretty hard core.
