Sweet, even more people limiting personal achievement!
Really?
What the hell else are you going to buy with half a billion dollars?
It's not limiting personal achievement. If you have a half a billion dollars, I'm pretty goddamn sure you've achieved enough
it really isn't limiting personal achievement but it is putting a cap on the whole point of capitalism...accumulating capital.
Gotta say, your avatar is kickin rad, Conscript
What is it?

Who's gonna be the richest person then?
You oh and the other 400 people that reached the cap.
Kinda detracts from that feeling, y'know what I mean?

i don't remember. i just found it in my files folder
If you are going to put a cap, just put a cap on what they can give to their kids when they die, I see no reason to remove their freedom to make as much money as they want while they're alive.

hopes for yourself = why we kill eachother
hopes for our species = why we have science
recently we've injected a large amount of reward in helping everyone, but that systems all fucked up because it's easily manipulated
oh nooooo
What a douche.

You have some great ideas.
If you run for president I will vote for you, so our country can be liberal.

Big business is to blame for most problems with the economy
This woman is nothing but a small minded thief, I hope noone feels sorry for her, she's taken someones hard earnt money and given it to the kind of people who piss their life (and money) down the drain. people who never worked hard enough to achieve anything in life.
She deserved a longer sentence
also in the kind of stories i've heard about robin hood he stole money from people like the king and the church who only got their money from overtaxing the poor, and so in a way he was never really stealing.
Wouldn't she be more or less a common thief if she'd given the money to herself? The fact she was only taking from the rich and giving to the poor makes it morally quite debatable.
i would be so pissed if it was my money that was transferred.
if you run for president I will say that you cannot run for president because you are 12 and that is how that works
Sweet, even more people limiting personal achievement!
I tell you what, how about you give me 500 billion dollars, and I'll show you how much damage I could do with it. All I'd need is a bit of rabble-rousing or even maybe bribe a few officials and I could start a war that could easily kill millions. Fuck, I could even get richer if I could bribe a few officials to invade some crumbling Mideastern country for it's oil, then bribe people and buy up PMC's to secure the oil sites for myself rather than have the lazy native population benefit.
The question is, are we balancing personal achievement with abuse of power? Or are we simply balancing altruism with gluttony.
