Yes it is, and it's creepier that they were all worded in a way that makes me seem like a bible thumper. I'm the opposite of religious, and absolutely against the repeal of Net Neutrality but all of those comments were the opposite. (they mention god, the will of the people, and Obama a lot)
They're all worded that way because they're computer generated, someone made a bot that stitches together a few sentences and posts it under some citizen's stolen ID. The sentence structure is all the same, with different words and phrases: [t]https://media.boingboing.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/1shWYIe0km5rYxPebfGPTTg.png[/t] Some parts are highlighted for clarity, but the entire thing is very obviously bot generated, and you can pick out the patterns pretty easily from start to end.
the "select whichever products they desire" type line is pretty funny because I'm pretty sure I can still change ISP's you whacky fucks
this is such a shitshow, ajit pai is a shit pile and deserves to be fucking curbstomped. (User was banned for this post ("Advocating Violence / Murder" - Mezzokoko))
ON THIS NOTE... https://badcomments.attorneygeneral.gov/ Go here and search your name. If your name comes up with a comment you didn't file, regardless of which side of the NN thing the comment support, report it. I filed a comment late july supporting NN and title II. Then somehow a comment shows up less than a month later, allegedly by me, supporting the repeal of title II. Go fuck yourself Pai, I didn't file that and I hope you rot in prison.
Found my name three times, all against NN and nowhere near me. Should I still be concerned?
Found my name three times, all against NN and nowhere near me. Should I still be concerned?
Yeah, they may be using your name and not your address - if it isn't a common name that you expect loads of people to have, anyway.

This is so gross.
How much you wanna bet that when Shit Pie finally goes on trial, his defense will be "I was just trollin' lmao, dab!"
How much you wanna bet that when Shit Pie finally goes on trial, his defense will be "I was just trollin' lmao, dab!"
That would be a funny excuse if he did, considering he was dismissing feedback from critics as the critics just "being trolls"
It's pretty obvious that changes aren't going to be instant it'll be a month, if not year long and subtle process
Also saying that this isn't an issue because your personal internet is still good is silly. it's like saying global warming isn't an important issue because it's snowing outside.

And how do I sort/filter by state?
My grandfather is in there. He doesn’t even live in America. But his address is there and so is his full name. And he was against NN. When I know he was a huge advocate of supporting NN and wanting it to stay.
I'm curious how they got that information. Also, The FCC allows comments from non American addresses?🤔
Someone should be indicted for this.
tbh if anything I really hope that Ajit goes to prison for this
think it kinda puts a damper on those Republican conspiracy theories when the one time dead people actually do vote it gets caught immediately lol

One of my real ones is on there but right under it is a false one that shows me being against NN. My friend is on there too and he didn't submit anything. Edit: Nvm didn't scroll down all the way. I can't believe they're just blatantly doing this shit. My mom is on there too with a slightly incorrect address going against NN. She of course also never submitted anything.
Yep. And the FCC has been refusing to cooperate with investigations into it.
So not only have they not bothered to investigate or do shit about it, but it's in fact been subverted by those in power now to be used to their own advantage at the expense of everyone else.

So that's good.

I found two results with my name (one all lowercase for some reason), the last name matching is a little suspicious but nothing else about them matched. I also got two matches with my mother's name, but again no other information matched.

My comment supporting net neutrality is also conveniently missing. I have no words that can express how angry that makes me.

[t]https://i.imgur.com/xbKOqPY.png[/t] This is my grandpa. The address/zip code listed is the actual address with the wrong apartment number so I blacked it out. My grandpa died in February 2016. This is disgusting. How would I report info that isn't my own?

I actually think it would help further make their case to have tangible examples of the "dead" commenting on this too.
where were you when the US government committed massive voter fraud to push their own policies through
The attorney general of NY is also planning to sue for the misuse of people's identities. That site is here: https://ag.ny.gov/fakecomments I've sent the info to both him and my state's Attorney General, and hopefully they raise hell to get this investigated. It's so blatant. I really can't believe it.
The trump administration is like v for vendetta, if all the people in charge were transparently criminal idiots.
My name is pretty common, there were several pages of results for my name, from multiple states, both for and against NN. Before you guys all jump on me, I DID write my Congressperson this summer asking them to vote to uphold NN.
Just as a “experiment” I put my rather uncommon name in (Due to it being a bastardisation of a common surname, and to see just how common it was in the US) too see if anything turned up. There were 5 results, 3 of which were word for word copy-pastes of each other.

Granted they're more direct copy-pastes than the bot-generated ones that oppose NN.
