Left 4 dead 2. Sure it can fuck up sometimes, but the first time I played it, shooting zombies and you actually see where you shoot them, they are made of layers of skin and bone and muscle, it just blew my mind.
Umm not really.
On the latter point, didn't the new Mortal Kombat and God of War 3 (for certain enemies) do something similar?
Mortal Kombat didn't exactly do that. Every model has two states (normal and damaged) and the game is able to manage all the body parts separately to change the model progressively so it looks more and more damaged, but it wasn't dynamic or random. If you fight with the same character ten times over, he will always have the same wounds at the same place, even if the fight drastically changes. Maybe you are talking about X-Ray attacks though, in which case it 's also a bit different. I'm talking about dynamic, procedural damage on the layers, while the X-Ray attacks are just a matter of clever model swapping and filters. It's very well done but not exactly what I'm talking about.
Umm not really.
Searched left 4 dead 2 wounds on youtube, found this, not the greatest but you can see what I mean.
If I remember correctly, didn't the f.e.a.r. multiplayer have bullettime? How did they implement it in there. Because that was a pretty good implementation.

The more I hear about this, the more I really want to fucking play this. I WISH MAY 29 WOULD JUST ROLL AROUND ALREADY c
Well if the Remedy CEO says its good, then I atleast have to try it. I'm still a bit sceptic about this because of the whole shock of the first footage reveleaded years back.
$20 says it'll get overshadowed by Diablo 3. Big time.
$20 says it'll get overshadowed by Diablo 3. Big time.
Except it won't Diablo 3's PC only, Max Payne 3's multiplat.
rendered in real-time when damage occurs,
I don't know what else you could possibly want. And to answer your question, it's because they didn't want people to say "Look, you bastard, you've got no arms left" every five minutes.
Despite my scepticism I will be trying it.
Why are people still so afraid of this game? You don't need to be fucking skeptical about anything. It's a game.
Why are people still so afraid of this game? You don't need to be fucking skeptical about anything. It's a game.
People who have boring lives need to spice it up with some drama
I just want MP3 to get out of the way so we can get some more GTAV stuff :(
Why are people still so afraid of this game? You don't need to be fucking skeptical about anything. It's a game.
I am questioning whether or not it will be worth it's price tag. Yes, it is a game. It costs money. I do not have much of it.
Yes yes it will be worth it.
Then look at the rest of the footage and see if you think it improved or not...
I have every right to be sceptic when Remedy isn't doing the game, wouldn't be the first time in gaming history when a game on release is completely opposite what it promised to be (speaking of games in general, not just rockstar).

I'm just saying see it for yourself while you can to have a better judgement.

You have the right to be skeptic, but even if it's a crappy Max Payne game, it's at least shaping up to be a good shooter at the very least.
