Goddamn it, that song sounds like a memorial, it came out a day before he killed himself too.
Ugh, I took a look at the guy's twitter, it's really painful seeing the exact moment he found out. Through a tweet, that's the worst.
Holy jesus what the fuck. That is heavy.
I might be, but that doesn't change the fact that the person in question is any less awful of a person.
Fucking how.
I might be, but that doesn't change the fact that the person in question is any less awful of a person.
I forgive you because we've all been young and naive and it's most likely not your fault for being extremely misinformed anyway here's a short but interesting comic strip that reverses the positions of mental illnesses and physical ones
I forgive you because we've all been young and naive and it's most likely not your fault for being extremely misinformed anyway here's a short but interesting comic strip that reverses the positions of mental illnesses and physical ones
I think the problem is that people can't see mental problems like they can physical problems and thus don't understand it, particularly if they've never been through it themselves.
After reading the message of his wife, I have no sympathies for him, only for his wife.
you should be required to post your age and if you've had any experience of depression when making these kind of posts [editline]26th January 2014[/editline] i mean, REALLY? your mean comments will probably never be seen by jewwario's wife or friends, but other people will see them. somebody who's depressed right here in facepunch might go "huh. that's what regular people think about me" and for that reason what you're saying is incredibly damaging and downright sociopathic.
I think the problem is that people can't see mental problems like they can physical problems and thus don't understand it, particularly if they've never been through it themselves.
it's not a topic one can truly understand without going through it yourself (which is a hell I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy) the problem is that people are too quick to form opinions about things using very little/no information
that is horrifyingly accurate
One of the most accurate parts is the people talking to you. They don't know how it feels to not see ANY hope or solution, because they can't comprehend not being able to find anything. So they start suggesting things like "go outside for a day" when all you're doing is just going outside for a day. It doesn't help at all...
I think it is a little disgusting he locked himself in a bathroom with his wife who loves him on the other side probably pleading with him only to kill himself.
do you know what was going through his head. No you do not. what i feel is that thereis a few things either a) hes a manic depressant and didnt take his meds b) a big scenario that is well out of their control or c) a financial crisis could of been a key role

If you're not a professional therapist or similar, chances are you can't help people who are depressed. Obviously it depends on the type of depression and what not.
I was under the impression acute aspirin overdose is particularly painful. The seizures alone would be dreadful, never mind the respiratory arrest.
the aspirin is to thin your blood so you bleed out. It's not the drug itself that would kill you in that method. [editline]26th January 2014[/editline]
I might be, but that doesn't change the fact that the person in question is any less awful of a person.
how's middle school going.
I used to watch this guy. I wonder what happened. I watched a couple of his last reviews and they were pretty good just as I remembered.
You're right. And if he didn't have a lock on his bathroom this wouldn't have happened either.
There's no debate over whether or not access to guns increases the success rate of spontaneous suicide attempts, it does
There's no debate over whether or not access to guns increases the success rate of spontaneous suicide attempts, it does
That doesnt mean it would've certainly prevented it. Theres a lot of ways you can kill yourself.
That doesnt mean it would've certainly prevented it. Theres a lot of ways you can kill yourself.
Yeah but most of the other ways require a lot more consideration beforehand
Yeah but most of the other ways require a lot more consideration beforehand
There would be no suicides if people weren't allowed to make any decisions for themselves, but this is not the solution, is it?
There would be no suicides if people weren't allowed to make any decisions for themselves, but this is not the solution, is it?
no but there's a reason we add bitterant to possible inhalants, if you know what I'm trying to get at sometimes it's reasonable to take steps to reduce harm
no but there's a reason we add bitterant to possible inhalants, if you know what I'm trying to get at sometimes it's reasonable to take steps to reduce harm
True, but guns do not make that much of a difference as you'd think. If you look at global suicide rates, countries such as UK, Canada, Norway and New Zealand are pretty close to America, even though guns are illegal in all of those countries

Handguns are basically impossible to get in the UK, and maybe Norway/New Zealand as well, but you can get hunting rifles/shotguns
Wow. Fuck you, dude.
a like doesn't always mean " i enjoy this content." it's acknowledgment.
Weren't they talking about adding a "sympathize" button so people would stop throwing a fuss over that?
I've had people ask me what being depressed is like. I honestly don't know of any way to possibly describe it adequately.
depends on what kind of depression my depression is of the kind where everything just makes me upset and i just lie in bed for a couple of days not wanting to see anyone; at least till a manic episode hits and i stay up for a couple of days doing all sorts of fun things with the happiest mood imaginable the root cause of depression is usually the same but personality and culture makes people express it differently. thats why its hard to really "describe" it.
What if this was a murder and his suicide was just a cover up?
What if this was a murder and his suicide was just a cover up?
what the fuck dude.
a like doesn't always mean " i enjoy this content." it's acknowledgment.
That's why calling them "likes" is stupid, should rename them to "roger that" or "yes" [editline]26th January 2014[/editline]
I know, but all 300 other sharers had the sense not to do it anyway.
Which is impressive, but when announcements of death are made on Facebook (from what I've seen in my circle of humans) they are met with likes, not because anyone likes the fact that they're dead (they could, I guess). I don't really know the right word, but it's definitely okay, and is kinda the only thing you can do that isn't commenting on FB (and sharing, I guess)
What if this was a murder and his suicide was just a cover up?
yeah have they questioned the showerhead yet something in that bathroom knows something it isn't saying
That's a very simple way of looking at ending your own life. What about the grief you'd cause others? If you're parents were still alive they'd be second guessing themselves, your friends would miss you and so would your significant other.
that's what saved me from killing myself.
I've had people ask me what being depressed is like. I honestly don't know of any way to possibly describe it adequately.
This will sound like really bad teenaged poetry but for me it was like suffocating but everyone else was fine. That's the best way I can explain it.
Ever known one of those people with the "talent" of always knowing exactly what the most hurtful thing to say is, usually something with just enough truth in it that you're doubting and hating yourself for hours afterward? Well yeah I'm that person, but only to myself. That's what my depression is. Issue is that when it's someone else you can just leave, I'm always trapped in the room with this asshole
