What kind of a fuckhead body-slams a three year old?
I shed a manly ol' tear.
Also, this reminds me of a pilot I flew with when I was 8. He came out of the cockpit to calm an old lady down.

Maybe he didn't do it on purpose, I know it doesn't sound reasonable but theres a chance?
Thats very nice of the pilot.
What a nice pilot, I respect him for that.
That is kind of a dick thing to say.
Tell me about it. He made everyone else wait 12 minutes, that's nothing at all. This guy can suck a dick if he thinks the other passangers would have actually cared about a 12 minute delay.
This made my day. What a great guy.
Why would the boyfriend body slam a child? Weird.
I don't blame the live-in boyfriend, body slamming people smaller than you is fun.
Edit: Actually I was thinking of powerbombs. Powerbombing people smaller than you is fun, body slamming is a little bit weird.

That's awesome.
I'm sad that he'll be fired in the next couple of days.
That's awesome.

I am EXTREMELY doubtful that Southwest would even consider that thought.
He was flying through the airport.
That's awesome.

I seriously doubt that. If anything he'd get a pat on the back for that and a nod from the higher ups in the company for sticking to their mantra 'We love our customers'
Things like this restore a bit of my faith in humanity.
God fuck this shit, the only reason you have lost faith in humanity is because you KNOW NO ONE PERSONALLY BECAUSE YOU'RE A LOSER

"We love our customers" has some limits though. Like not clogging up a busy terminal for 15 minutes so other planes can't use it.
this is my opinion also. so fuck you all
Not a single passenger on that plane was in a rush for anything more important than that man's need to see his grandson one last time before the poor child died.
So, on the contrary...fuck you.
I fly Southwest every time I'm flying back home from Portland, and this is common between most of the pilots, they're usually always nice people. So this doesn't really surprise me.

No emotional bullshit either.
I'm sure If I was one of the passengers, I would just not give a shit about my schedule when I hear that a grandpa is going to say his farewells to a child that's going to die is boarding my plane.

I agree that it is awesome of the pilot. I mean, it is really fucking cool of him.
But if he gets fired, than I don't even know what to think of this world.

The sociopaths took nearly a PAGE AND A HALF to show up
Good job facepunch
this is my opinion also. so fuck you all
Mummy didn't love you enough? She didn't say you were special?
Poor you.
There are more important people than you I hate to say.
did anyone else come into this thinking the pilot held the plane hostage over a dead child?

Facepunch is always full of surprises.

I thought a pilot was holding a model plane because the family couldn't for some reason.
fuck that douche who body slammed that kid
So did the kid die?
If so, that daughter needs a new boyfriend.
[editline]13th January 2011[/editline]
What wouldn't that be accident not murder?
So did the kid die?

Yes... they turned off his life support because there was no chance for recovery. It says that...
What wouldn't that be accident not murder?
How do you accidentally bodyslam a kid?
Southwest's employees are pretty nice and aren't mindless zombies that stick strictly to every letter and period in procedures
