The majority of republicans don't try and push for a ban on interracial marriage. [editline]16th April 2011[/editline] I don't even think the republican party stands for anything close to that.
A bunch of them do, though. And Republicans are against gay marriage. That's as close to interracial marriage politics as you can get. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
Conservatives get dumber by the day
Fixed
Every country needs to ban interracial marriages. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - Overv))
I wonder what the illegal vote is to forced sodomy.
Wow im glad to be Australian, fuck living in that shithole.
46% of Mississipi Republicans need to stop boning their relatives before they have any say in this matter.
100 years ago the two political parties had completely opposite ideologies as they do now democrats WERE republicans, essentially
except back then the democrats still were against big corporations as well as big government and republicans still didn't like unions. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] for the most part
100 years ago the two political parties had completely opposite ideologies as they do now democrats WERE republicans, essentially
Yep. The shift really began in the first two decades leading up to the Great Depression. FDR is really considered the first "Democrat" in office by modern standards. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
except back then the democrats still were against big corporations as well as big government and republicans still didn't like unions. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] for the most part
Not really. Democrats were of big-business. It's only in the beginning of the 20th century that the shift begins to take place. Although it makes sense to think Democrats were against big-business since they were heavily focusing on agriculture. Since the Dems were southern, they were against industry because it took money away from their source of income, farming. Even then though, they supported corporations and monopolies.
Can't we just classify Republicans as a hate group in the same vein as the KKK? I mean seriously. They hate gays, immigrants, and interracial marriage. They are a hate group. The FBI defines hate groups as a group whose "primary purpose is to promote animosity, hostility, and malice against persons belonging to a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin which differs from that of the members of the organization." This would be one of the primary goals of the Republican party. Therefore, by the FBI's definition of hate group, the Republican party fits the bill.
Ahaha how do these people get in power? Is it the same rule as to getting in music industry? Be a shitty singer and you're in
technically this isn't the people in power it's the voters who think this while the people may or may not believe things like that, it's what the people who voted for them believe [editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
Can't we just classify Republicans as a hate group in the same vein as the KKK? Screaming is getting us nowhere, so why don't we just calm down and find out and understand this mentality of why its this way.
Remind me never to go to Mississippi... I'm Latino/Southeast Asian/Irish/German, they'd probably lynch me there with poll numbers like these.
I want intersexual marriage ban. Homosex only. [editline]18th April 2011[/editline]
Remind me never to go to Mississippi... Mississippi seems like the type of place that would be more okay with interspecies marriage than interracial. Ma we're gonna be needin a gown that done fits the pig Ma didja hear me Turn off the tee vee ma
I want intersexual marriage ban. Homosex only. [editline]18th April 2011[/editline] I am surprised you aren't partly Vulcan or Klingon, too.
Romulan actually.
The one thing I want to know is: Why?
Land of the free* *[sp]as long as you're not black, hispanic, asian, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transvestite, aetheist, muslim, hindu, mexican or any combination of these.[/sp]
I think you forgot some.
Can we just get rid of all these retarded republicans somehow? They are like a disease and are destroying this country internally, while making the entire country look fucking retarded to everyone outside of it.
Yes, generalize all republicans just because a group of them did something daft. What if I said all liberals need to be removed because if one wanted to ban freedom of religion?
Yes, generalize all republicans just because a group of them did something daft. What if I said all liberals need to be removed because if one wanted to ban freedom of religion?
That would be the opposite of a liberal. Banning freedom of religion would be a conservative action.
Yes, generalize all republicans just because a group of them did something daft. What if I said all liberals need to be removed because if one wanted to ban freedom of religion?
Such as banning islam... oh wait. Or banning freedom of choice... or wait. Or banning the teaching of evolution in the classroom... oh wait. Yeah... that doesn't stack up. The only freedoms that Democrats would ever eliminate (that the republicans wouldn't) would be economic ones, and they would take the form of taxes, tariffs, or socialized programs.
Yes, generalize all republicans just because a group of them did something daft.
Mississippi is actually the worst state in the US in the majority of statistics. It's utterly terrible.
I live here and I can agree with that. There are some nice individuals, no doubt; but as a whole it's repulsive.
46% of Missouri republicans should be gassed.
100 years ago the two political parties had completely opposite ideologies as they do now democrats WERE republicans, essentially
Not completely opposite, Republicans have always been laissez-faire for the most part and each had different wings which dominated at different times.
Can't we just classify Republicans as a hate group in the same vein as the KKK?

It is not the primary goal and saying this will not ease tensions. Screaming is getting us nowhere, so why don't we just calm down and find out and understand this mentality of why its this way.
This is the problem. Rassmusen says a good ole' 34% of the population (104,382,227 dudes) is Republican. Let's roll with the 46% figure and assume in general, around 45% to 55% of Republicans are mentally deficient and believe in moronic shit like banning interracial marriages (not a stretch to say they oppose things like women's rights, homosexual marriages, tax rates that aren't openly corrupt, etc.) That's a good, what, 19% (57,410,225) of the country at best. If you're at a bar with four buddies and one of them consistently talks shit and gets you funny looks from the other patrons no matter how much you talk to or warn him, what do you do? If you say "ignore it and keep bringing him back" you're a liar or have never been properly embarrassed by a guy you've had to keep an eye on, because the inevitable response is to take him outside and tell him to behave or walk the fuck home. We don't like telling a friend to fuck off, but if we don't ever actually act, they'll think their behavior is acceptable. It's basic psychology. Without actually enforcing a consequence for this kind of shit, you cannot stop it. And sure, it's convenient to ignore. They're an easy vote and removal of them would splinter one of our major political parties. But we need to actually start telling them it's wrong to think these sorts of things and vote with them in mind or we'll never achieve anything. The fact that people are inherently lazy and can't be passionate without losing their shit is holding us back just as much as the retards who would like to go back to lynching. If we can't man up and tell them they're fucked in the head and actually treat them like morons until they're willing to change, they won't.
Yes, generalize all republicans just because a group of them did something daft. What if I said all liberals need to be removed because if one wanted to ban freedom of religion?
I am an avowed republican. I've also reached the "fuck this shit" stage. There is a very good reason for that, and it might have to do with never meeting a liberal or independent who has advocated anything this idiotic in my life.
this is one of the many reasons i don't salute or say the pledge. also, i hate America, and i hate living in it.
this is one of the many reasons i don't salute or say the pledge. also, i hate America, and i hate living in it.
Hating a country for its government is by far the dumbest thing I've heard.
Hating a country for its government is by far the dumbest thing I've heard.
what's with you and loving countries dude if you love your country so much why don't you marry it (hurr hurr)
