native americans used it to identify themselves from the time colonists arrived to distinguish themselves from them. it was never meant to be a racist term, and me and at least 90% of native americans don't see it that way. why should we erase something that reminds us of the people that we're here before us?

now they're going to change the name to the fucking "Washington Warriors," is every name in the future just going to be some generic boring term in the off chance someone is "offended?"

The Redskins, for good or for ill, is rooted in several peoples cultural understanding.

we have baseball teams called the Braves too, and the Indians. so do we have to get rid of those too?
