I think that we should try to make mexico a much better place. Once we get the economy back on track we should offer police training to help crack down on drug smuggling, help build hospitals, set up an education system for them, etc.
Why? It's not our business. Yes it's a nice thought but like I said earlier, we need to stop trying to fix other people's problems. They aren't a bunch of children who need a babysitter. If they really want a better life for themselves then they need to work for it.
And race isn't the only issue either. This law makes it mandatory for EVERYONE to identify themselves to the police for no reason whatsoever. It more or less mandates that everyone carry ID on them at all times.
German here, not seeing a problem with that. We have to carry our ID (or drivers license) with us at all times.
forced to show ID = unconstitutional
I'm sure the cops would love to hear that when I get pulled over for speeding. "Sir, can I see your drivers lice" "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE THAT IS VIOLATING MY RIGHTS!" You need ID for pretty much everything, its stupid to say its unconstitutional.
So we should have our cops stop everybody on the street under the suspicion that they may or may not be criminals? you realize that's fascism right?
Right, because that's exactly what I said. Re read my post please.

Merely EXISTING is a right and should not require ID. Yes, the law is unconstitutional. [editline]04:58PM[/editline]
Right, because that's exactly what I said. Re read my post please.
By definition this law IS "stopping everyone on the street suspected of being criminals". It broadens the definition of probable cause to include anything the cops want it to include. Un Con Sti Tut Ion Al
My god. You are all so stupid. There is no issue with illegal immigrants. A very small percentage are here simply to help ship drugs. Most, like the few illegals I know, are here to make enough money to get their family here legally. Despite your best efforts at wording your horrible responses into the dumbest possible reply, it is blatant racism and fascism.
Why? It's not our business. The very reason that this law is supported is because people clearly see illegal immigration as a problem in Arizona. There's clearly a fucking issue if 2/3 of the state agrees with a law thats borderline constitutional. The thing is, we're a part of the reason they come here. Drugs are a big problem. Where do you think your sack of Marijaunna comes from? Druglords in Mexico make a lot of money from the U.S., and it makes regular Mexican citizens feel unsafe. Of course they'd come to the States, it's safer here. There's no law that will stem the flow of illegals, unless it helps make Mexico safer for Mexicans to live in. For these reasons, I don't see this law as being all that effective.
If Mexico didn't suck as much as it does this wouldn't be a problem.
